If that many people were throwing out food, then the food crisis isn't that widespread. If, as we've seen, the grocery lines are so long then why is there a national call to label the leftovers? There shouldn't be any leftovers. Heck, there is no food waste or leftovers at my house.
That's the same as those articles we've read for the past couple years how farmers and cooks have no food to feed their own families. Hogwash. As if there isn't food left at the end of the day at restaurants for the workers to take some home. If the vast majority of the population doesn't have money to buy bread, then why are restaurants still open? As if farmers can't feed their own families. Venezuela has a long growing season. Dumpster dive for seeds and compost in all that food garbage and grow food in the backyard or even a window sill. Every little bit helps. Reuse, repurpose, use up and if there's anything left after that recycle.
‘course the communists in big media and socialists in Congress will tell us Venezuela just implemented it wrong.
And here in the U.S. foods are taken off the shelves and thrown away simply because their “sell by” date ran out..........
Have you ever seen a restaurant dumpster. Whole meals untouched. But by law, can’t be reused. Seagulls at the dump eat like kings. Maybe they should kill the well fed seagulls for food.
Garbage. It’s what’s for dinner, comrade.
Back in the day, “sell by” (which has nothing to do with expiration dates) items, bread and produce was put on tables or pallets behind our grocery store for anyone to take home. Now days it’s all dumped in the garbage. You can’t even get the produce guy to give your rabbits or goats the stuff he’s throwing out. America wastes so much.

Here's a better idea......
How about serving the food to the poor instead of throwing it out and having people dig through trash to find it while it rots in the hot Venezuelan sun.
And all those socialistic dictators are women, eh?
And for that we can thank the government who is so busy trying to protect us from ourselves.
Include a 45 caliber or 9mm in each drop.

They get no sympathy from me.
So, r-selected people are genetically wired to demographically explode and then burn out, while K-selected people are wired to learn from their mistakes and not repeat those things?
Look at us: we, the supposedly K-selected people voted for Hoover and FDR, and you know what resulted from that. Us K-selected people also elected Clinton, Bush II and Obama. Are we really as “K-selected” as we think?
Let them have cake! Or stare the Revolution.
There but for the grace of Trump...if Hillary was it we’d be headed there shortly. I’m still prepping though ;)
