George Eastman is spinning in his grave as they will turn his filmmaking empire into a hydroponic farm. The farm will operate close to another old Kodak Park building where they now make salsa. So much for the geniuses at Kodak who not only shelved their own discoveries—digital photography and OLED screens so as to preserve the moribund film industry. You can’t fix stupidity!

I hate these things. They supply all the tomatoes in our area now, even in summer. Worst flavorless mealy tomatoes ever. We grow our own in summer, but other times I have to drive 10 miles out of the way to buy a real tomato.

Thank you for posting that. They had a flirtation in my area with hydroponic tomatoes about 20 years ago.

Beautiful, uniform and shapely fruit that looked positively yummy.

But tasted about as much like a tomato as a glass of water.

The actual tomato season in Upstate NY is very short. For about 10 months, these hydroponic tomatoes are sooooo much better than the cardboard tomatoes of the past.

The taste is very good and I eat them every day....They're still getting the sun and nutrients....just like dirt grown tomatoes.

Grateful for these growers.

Tough job feeding the world!!
