Like I said, AG Sessions will determine the facts better than local police or Virginia state authorities. If what you saw is true, it will come out under investigation by JD.

Regardless I do not condone driving a car into a crowd of people, regardless of who is at fault. At the very least it will be determined to be manslaughter by JD. I do not trust the local authorities to be as fair as JD under AG Sessions.

The fact that the JD was called in for something unrelated to a “civil rights” case, but are calling it a civil rights case, makes me think things won’t be as cheery and fair as you’re thinking.

Under Obama, the DOJ and Fedzilla would mediate these “incidents” with predictable results...Feds dictating community building policies for the cops involved, the aggrieved parties of the correct political persuasion receiving funding to organize and make their voices heard.

In English, neuter local law enforcement, and fund liberal voter mills with taxpayer dough.

Sessions can hardly do worse, and in a best case scenario, could actually ensure that justice, rather than partisan politics at any level, is done.

The left is going to make the protest all about one person who did something stupid.

Typical. If nothing else; the left is really good at making a mountain out of a molehill.

They should. That was murder plain and simple

How did you come by this information the rest of us don't have?

At the very most; this might be manslaughter or reckless endangerment but premeditated murder?

Maybe we should let the cops and courts do their jobs first. Maybe the guy will wake up tomorrow after sobering up and decide to confess or ask what happened? Who knows?

I think it should be legal to plow through a protest group blocking the road. They don't know if you have an emergency and are trying to get your dying daughter to the hospital so she might live. Yep; it should be completely legal to do that. Come to think of it; they were blocking the road in this case too.

That’s nice.

So uh, where was DoJ when Mexican thugs were attacking Trump supporters in San Jose, ANTIFA terrorists were attacking Milo supporters in Berkeley?

But now they’re mad....some sacred Leftists picked a fight and got really hurt.

Rip Van Sessions wakes up.

I’ve noticed all the news coverage and article postings never seem to mention the BLM or antifa protesters; instead just keep stating it was “white supremeists”.

Guess they didn’t care to mention the signs held by protesters where the car incident occurred, which were pro BLM and used curse words to prove it on their signs.

Our news media is so biased that it is quickly becoming useless; and that includes Fox News who is spouting the same crap.

As long as they begin their investigation with the “permit games” being played by the local council it has a chance of being an honest investigation.

And don’t leave out the governor. McAulliffe was plenty worried about the alt right, with no history of violence, and no concern at all about antifa, that does have a history of violence.

Gov favoritism of one group over another is a violation. Showing up to disrupt someone else’s peaceful protest is a violation.

If they only look at the driver, it’s a sham. There are plenty of civil rights violations to go around here.

Saw this synopsis on Second City Cop'a website, in a comment section....

Charlottesville Police and Virginia State Police donned riot gear and forcefully moved peaceful White members of the Alt-Right who lawfully assembled in a park (with a permit), while allowing violent BLM, ANTIFA, and other assorted left wingers (without a permit) to run amok. Sad day for the 1st Amendment.

“Civil Rights Investigation” = (Federal) Political Crimes Investigation. BTW, have the federal authorities characterized the demonstration as “White Nationalist” (a baby-step removed from declaring them Nazis), or is it the Democrat Media jumping to that conclusion?

If Eric Holder was in charge, I would agree with you 1000%.
With Jeff Sessions in charge, I have hopes of a fair investigation.

BLM has done more destruction of property, by a factor of 1000, than anything the white supremacist have done. At least in recent history.

That said, attacking a crowd of protesters with a speeding automobile is just as much terrorism ans the radical Islamists driving a truck through a crowd in Nice, France.

I hope the idiot who drove that murderous car is prosecuted to the fullest extent of law. No form of street violence is justifiable due to any reason. Otherwise it is a slippery slope to anarchy.
