I have no “white guilt” over it, and the perpetrators are long dead, but Indians were the first slaves in the New World. It didn’t work out (they died or ran off), so blacks were brought in to do the work. In the English colonies, they also tried convict labor on plantations but switched to blacks because the white convicts dropped like flies from the heat.

Not to the leftards. Europeans "invaded" this land carrying diseases, therefore they are defacto murderers. The fact that they absolutely no idea what a virus was is irrelevant to the leftard; it is the Europeans very existence that disrupted the native's utopia.

Tommy Sotomayor is a black guy with a youtube channel who claims you cant force someone to be a slave if they are non compliant. You can kill them or torture them but they can always run off, or rebel, making it a lot more trouble than its worth. Considering the small number of rebellions over the hundreds of years of slavery, I think his point was that blacks were compliant and that’s why they were good slaves. Whether that is true or not I dont know.

I'm fortunate that my ancestor(s) were brought to North America, rather than Central America, South America, or the Caribbean. And all descendants of slaves in the Western Hemisphere should be eternally grateful that their ancestors weren't taken to the Middle East. The males were castrated, and the females were used as sex slaves.
But the virus couldn’t live very long on a fabric. So, they would have had to have someone infected with smallpox in their midst, who could have infected the blankets right before they were given to the Indians. Do you think the people would have put themselves in close proximity to a person with smallpox, just to be able to infect the Indians? So, flu viruses only survive for 15 minutes when on the hands of a living host. They can survive on hard surfaces for a longer period of time. I suspect they have to be contained in a fluid environment, such as spit, that doesn’t evaporate quickly, to stay virulent. The ‘Blanket Theory’ isn’t even remotely believable.

Living and working in CT a very short time gave me a whole new view on Indians and how they behaved. Indians even in small areas weren’t all the same any more than Italians are the same as English.
