Hollywood stars say they strongly oppose the sexual abuse and intimidation of women. Harvey Weinstein is suddenly considered the devil by these actors, actresses, and directors, even though everybody knew exactly who and what he was for years but did nothing to stop him.
Well, this video from back in the day makes crystal clear why that is:

That's John Lovitz grabbing Jamie Lee Curtis' breast on stage. And how did all those Hollywood stars react? They laughed out loud and actually applauded. Yeah, I get that this was "back in the day," but sexual abuse of women and sexual intimidation have never been acceptable by normal people. It says everything we need to know about Hollywood and its horrendous, women-degrading culture that this was not only tolerated publicly years ago but actually celebrated. Is it truly so strange that Harvey Weinstein thought he could get away with abusing actresses all these years?
I wonder how his wife, Morgan Fairchild, reacted?
Outrageous. Disgusting. Unacceptable behavior. She just grabbed him by the crotch, and he let her.
Where did you get that information? Jon has never been married and Morgan was married to a different guy.

If you watch it....it was part of Lovitz’s shtick. It wasn’t intended for anything more than that.
Why?
He got away with his behavior for years. So why wouldn’t he think that he would keep getting away with it.
As long as the remained in his position of power where he held the careers of actors and actresses in his hands he could be confident that he could continue his behavior.
As long as he kept putting out movies that made money he was going to keep his job. If he kept his job he could keep his hobby as a sexual pervert.
Nothing unusual here. The same principle applied to Slick Willy Clinton. From the time he was Attorney General of Arkansas he was safe being a sexual predator.
Unless for some reason these perverts run afoul of the press they can linger in the shadows and do what they like.
Be sure to hate on him, too.

Now, is it as bad as posting a video to your own blog, click-baiting to your blog, and then feigning “authorship” of the “article” which is just a paste of a Youtube video?

Not a very good example. Jon Lovitz is a comedian who is supposed to behave outrageously for the sake of humor. I haven’t watched the clip to know the context but most comics say they are never “off” because everyone expects them to be funny all the time. If that was Robin Williams or Richard Pryor or Groucho Marx, they’ll stop at nothing to get a laugh and women understand that they are “fair game” for physical humor once they are on stage. That’s true of the 1920s, the 1940s, the 1970s or today. Certainly started long before Harvey Weinstein.
