Some time ago, I called on Murray Chotiner, Richard Nixons first political mentor and storied practitioner of dirty tricks. (In Nixons 1950 run for US Senate against the liberal actress and activist Helen Gahagan Douglas, Nixons campaign printed her voting record on pink paper, earning the future president the sobriquet Tricky Dick.) Chotiner, whom the Nixon people had stashed away in an office in the East Wing to keep him out of sight, told me: I always tell my clients, If youre going to lose, lose big.
The point, of course, was that the losing candidate would then be spared the torment of If-onlys
Hillary Clinton didnt manage to elude Chotiners law. And so, for her, her squeaker of a loss to Donald Trump last fall had to be explainedto contemporaries and to the future. The resulting book, What Happened, is a number of things, but its underlying themes are Clintons If-onlys and the many frustrations of being a presidential candidate, especially for a woman. It is also a book thats born of the pain of losing a presidential election, a pain thats difficult for others to fathom. One has let down dedicated aides and allies and millions of supporters. One has put oneself out there, exhausted oneself, and struggled to contend with the uncontrollablean unexpected event, an effective surprise attack by the opponent, a slip of the tongue after long days on the high wire, and a press corps thats all too likely to blow something out of proportion.....

Chotiner died in 1974.
The more we know about Shrillary, the more obvious it is that she never should be President.
“Tricky Dick”. Translation: He did something that was effective.
I am very, very thankful that the world dodged that bullet. She would have been disastrous.
This “writer” is deluding herself.
“her squeaker of a loss”
“especially for a woman”
“after long days on the high wire”
“a press corps thats all too likely to blow something out of proportion”
If the writer had been honest instead of “and millions of supporters” it would have been “supporters who gave millions with the expectation of something in return”.
and that is just one paragraph. That is all that is available, but it is enough.
Come Christmas maybe the “What Happened” book tour will be
put to rest and Hillary can go back to the hills of Chappaqua
and live peaceably and enjoy her grandchildren.
Well, that's certainly "some time ago"...lol
The Entire MSM Pulling For Her.
Giving Her Every Break Possible.
Still She Lost!!
Either she’s criminal or incredibly stupid.
‘One has let down dedicated aides and allies and millions of supporters.’
Rush was asking the other day “why did she apologize to Obama for losing?
It is now apparent that she apologized because she has loosed the dogs of war... we’re coming for her and the whole deceiving traitorous Obama administration. If she’d been elected, all these scoundrels would
have dragged their millions back to their lairs and come back out for more.
I dont. I want Hillary hanging around like Banquos ghost, always present, rattling her chains and moaning loudly about how unfair it all is.
Hillary loss was not a squeaker. Even with all of the corruption and illegal votes she failed to win
Those who know her can also tell by her actions that she fully expects to run again.
So, it was a “squeaker of a loss” to Donald Trump, was it?
LOL

“Tricky Dick. Translation: He did something that was effective.”
I assume that nickname has nothing to do with Nixon’s character and everything to do with and the fact that Dick rhymes with “trick”.
Just as any politician named Roger would eventually be accused of being a dodger, and any politician named Brian would eventually be accused of lyin’, - people just can’t resist a good rhyme.
Nixon wasn’t especially tricky - if his name had been Russel, maybe he would have been called Trusty Rusty.
We can only hope that she will finally stop trying to push her book. I’ve been thinking that she has been spending more time on interviews and events and travel in the last month than she did in about 6 months during the election. Fox shows clips of her here and there, thankfully most are without sound.
