Pardon Me, Governor Brown

Jerry's Real Legacy

Pardonne moi, Governor Jerry Brown, but California is a cesspool and you are giving absolution to criminals.

Brown’s smug ‘burn it down and leave’ attitude, together with all of the left, is based on the self-righteous belief that more than half of the country does not know what’s good for them—and liberals and leftists do. They hate us for not aspiring to their glamorous and important lives, and then feel compelled to tell us how to live.

Brown lies awake nights dreaming up strategies to part the people in California from their money. One year it was demanding country dwellers put in new septic tanks, but that failed. I lived in an outlying area (manned by firefighters who were lessin less than 3 miles from a state firehouse, and less than one block from a volunteer fire department at a recreation site) but was charged an additional $150 per year for fire services because of my location. Jarvis brought suit but the state delayed responses so the suit was denied due to time lapses and the illegal double taxation has not been repaid.[(Jarvis is appealing). I just moved to a new house in June and never received a new tax bill, but did write and ask where it was so was told they were 30,000 people behind who would not receive a tax bill, but would be charged a 10% penalty over and above their tax amount if they had not inquired and paid it on time (luckily I was one of that group). I’m sure he’ll be delighting in all the extra money the state will receive from new buyers that didn’t wonder where their tax bill was this year and may think there will be no penalty since they never received a tax bill. If you intend to live in California, be sure to be a welfare recipient otherwise you will be taxed to death.

And don’t forget the huge amount he has now added to car registration fees, and the 9 cents extra per gallon to gas.

That California elected this idiot as governor is very telling. It tells me California is done as a viable part of the USA. It is now a cancer in the body.

Actually having California secede, then occupied and then re-constructed where its broken up into 3 or 4 states is probably a good thing for both the nation and the people of Ca.

Thank you!

You’re the only other FReeper i have seen post the idea of reconstruction for California.

Then the liberal descendants of Lincoln’s Radical Republicans can feel what it is like to be hoist on their own petard. (Reconstruction didn’t work out so well when the Radical Republicans were in charge of it. The Democrats —at the time the conservative alternative— put an end to it in 1877).

All that said, i don’t really see any other viable alternative other than reconstruction. These people are so out of step from the constitution that the insurrection and rebellion clause of the US Constitution could easily be invoked.

The worst thing is, Brown is the adult supervision for the Dems in the legislature.
