Former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon said there was "zero" chance that President Trump was not aware of a controversial 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between one of his sons and a Russian lawyer, according to a new book.
According to MSNBC, which tweeted an excerpt from Michael Wolff's upcoming book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House," Bannon said that it was likely Donald Trump Jr. took lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya and others up to his father's office during the meeting.
“The chance that Don. Jr did not walk these Jumos up to his father’s office on the 26th floor is zero," the excerpt reads.

Maybe Bannon never said it. Wolff is reputed to have made things up in his previous books.

If Don Jr “did” take these Russians up to meet his father don’t you think the Russians would have told everyone they met with Trump? The media would be orgasmic.
You have to be careful when talking to a hostile press, or maybe especially when you are talking to what you think is a friendly press. They will take what you say, and distort it, and place it into another context where it can do the most damage.
Of course, of all people Bannon has to know this. You can shoot your mouth off with a friend or your wife, but you don’t run your mouth in the presence of a news writer looking for a headline.
As someone suggested in another thread, this is a heck of way for Bannon to gin up interest in the book.
To point out that Kushner and Don Jr. already gave hours of testimony to the Congressional Intel. Committee on their Muh Russia meeting. No doubt Mueller has had what was said there. This alleged Bannon quote isn’t going to make any headway for Mueller.
It is not his book.
Agree....something is wrong with Bannon.
Hillary? A feminist? She, whose entire existence has depended on a man’s coattails? She, who has accomplished nothing of merit on her own?
