I agree, but I think we're conflating two separate issues here.

Your original post #5 appears to respond to post #2 about lottery chain migration being the bigger threat than the wall. It was your post #5 that I responded to, and the point about chain migration, not the wall, that was my focus.

That said, the point about chain migration is not limited to lottery winners, but all immigrants. Illegal entrants cannot chain additional immigrants while they remain illegal.

The DACA debate, which involves making deals around the individual components of DACA amnesty, border walls, and chain migration, is being discussed as a whole. The point being made is that the aspect of chain migration is being minimized in debate, because Democrats don't want it discussed openly in the American collective conscious.

Democrats would rather have the American people focus only on DACA children and border wall/security. My post states, in a plain way, the ramifications of uncontrolled chain migration that would resonate with the American people against the interests of Democrats, and put more pressure on Republicans to hold strong on ending chain migration.

But only if it's openly discussed.
