The Media Hype Surrounding Rob Porter is About Getting Rid of John Kelly

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hillary Clinton voters in action: A Minnesota man named Edward LeRoy Wilson stole a car from a Wal Mart parking lot, but was arrested by police a few hours later after he called the owner from an auto repair shop to ask her why he couldn’t get the dang thing started again. After being arrested, he told police officers that he knew stealing the car “wasn’t a good idea,” but did it anyway. Holy cow. I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein helped their favored Democrats and fake news media keep up the whole false “Trump is going to fire Robert Mueller and then that’ll be the beginning of the end for Trump” narrative over the weekend, by publishing an op/ed in the reliably fake Washington Post. The Democrats and their fake news media agents have been pushing this false narrative since the day after Mueller was appointed as Special Counsel, in their never-ending efforts to create Trump-related scandals where none exist. Having apparently run out of writers below the age of 80 who are still willing to write this nonsense, the WaPo pulled Woodward and Bernstein out of mothballs. It’s just a matter of time until they play the Dan Rather card.

Donald Trump is not going to fire Robert Mueller – he has no reason to do so. After 9 months on the job, Mueller has a big bag of nothing. He is no real threat to this presidency. Granted, he should have never been appointed, given that there was no underlying crime that is a requirement under the law for the appointment of a special counsel, and he and Rod Rosenstein both should be fired for this heinous waste of taxpayer funds. That isn’t going to happen, and everyone knows it, but the Democrats and fake media believe they score political points against the President by perpetuating the myth.

They’re wrong in that assumption, too. Recent polls now show clear majorities of Americans now believe the Obama FBI and intelligence agencies illegally spied on the Trump Campaign in spite of the fake media’s best efforts to cover that up. The Democrats are clearly losing this PR war, and they are flailing about, trying to find some way to reverse the equation.

That’s what this whole Rob Porter fake scandal is about. Last Thursday, I pointed out that the fake media was vastly over-playing a situation involving a fairly minor White House functionary being accused of domestic abuse as a means of avoiding doing any reporting on the steady drip, drip, drip of evidence implicating the Obama presidency in illegal spying activities.

But that’s not the only thing it’s about: It’s also about getting Chief of Staff John Kelly. Remember back to last August, when the fake news media broadly praised the appointment of General Kelly to become Chief of Staff. There was broad optimism that he was just the guy to bring order to the perceived chaos within the White House staff, and that – and this is more important – he would be a a moderating influence on President Trump, a guy who would steer the President away from the policy choices the Democrats and fake news media hate, like border security and tax cuts.

Within a month, the fake media began to realize that, while their first hope was in fact taking place, that latter assumption was 180 degrees wrong. On September 5, President Trump issued an executive order rescinding Barack Obama’s unconstitutional DACA order, and the fake news media’s hair was literally set on fire when General Kelly publicly endorsed the move. Within days, rumors were spreading like wildfire all over Washington that Kelly hates the President, and that he would be resigning soon. Obviously, that didn’t happen. Fake journalists everywhere went into mourning: Kelly isn’t influencing the President to shift his policies, Kelly is in fact on board with the Trump agenda! Oh, the humanity!

We saw the same process in December, as the tax cuts were being enacted in congress. Kelly makes public remarks endorsing the tax plan, and with hours rumors were flying that he hates the President again, and now this time he really will be resigning. One story even claimed that Ivanka Trump was out scouting for candidates to replace Kelly, though why Ivanka would be tasked with that particular duty is anyone’s guess. Why, “sources close to the White House” say it’s true! Nope.

So now the Porter thing comes along, and the Democrats and fake journalists all see an opening to make up a bunch of false stories blaming it all on Kelly. Pretty much every day since the story first broke, we’ve seen at least one new story based solely on unidentified “sources” claiming that the President is “furious” or “disappointed” with Kelly and is going to fire him.

That’s what all this hype is really all about: Kelly is effective in his job, he is fully on-board with the Trump program, and he is a calming influence in the midst of high-stress situations. Thus, the Democrats and fake news media identify him as a threat to their own agenda, and do everything they can to eliminate him.

It’s all very sleazy, even more than a little bit evil, but it’s who they are, and it’s what they do.

Just another day in fake news media America.

I heard the theory that Jared and Ivanka want Kelly out, and they are out to sabotage him.
