2018 is Shaping up a Lot Like 2010 and the Democrat Panic is Palpable

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – The Labor Department reports that new unemployment claims for last week came in at 222,000, well below the expectation of 230,000, and very near the all-time low since this measure of economic performance began being kept 45 years ago.

San Fran Nan, in a rare moment of lucidity, admitted to a pair of reporters yesterday that “Yes, people are getting a little more in their paychecks” due to the Trump tax cuts. This belated concession to reality comes after months of lying shamelessly to the American public that the tax law would raise everyone’s taxes, was a dark cloud hanging over the country, was unpatriotic and would actually kill people. It also comes as San Fran Nan and her fellow Democrats and fake news media press agents struggle to find a way to counter the reality that their prospects of retaking control of the House of Representatives this November is fading as workers all over the country open this month’s paychecks and discover they are significantly higher than the checks they received in January.

Here’s a true story of my personal experience with this new tax law. I do quite a bit of public speaking and spoke about the new tax law to three different events during January. One audience was made up mainly of business owners and individual investors, the other two of salaried people working for companies.

At all three events, I started by asking everyone present who believe they would get a tax cut due to the new law to raise their hands. Each time, no more than one out of ten people did. Stunning. This is how effective the Democrat/fake news media disinformation campaign during December and January had been.

I’m an accountant by education, and any accountant who understands how the tax system works knows that even the GOP’s estimate that 80% of workers would see their taxes go down was a low estimate, especially for people who live in Texas and other low-tax states. The reality of the new tax law is that the main class of people who might – might – see their tax bill rise slightly are people just like San Fran Nan, incredibly wealthy individuals in high tax states like California, New York and New Jersey, who own a bunch of real estate (she owns three multi-million dollar homes in California) and other assets on which they pay a ton of state property tax each year in addition to high state income taxes. If you aren’t part of that class, chances are approaching 100% that your tax bill will be lower under the new law.

After I had assured everyone at each event (all of which were in Texas) that they were extremely likely to see their taxes go down and paychecks go up, I gave them all my phone number and email address and urged anyone whose first February paycheck did not go up to please get in touch with me because I want to know how that could possibly be the case. To date, I haven’t received a single call or email. I will frankly be stunned if I do receive a single one.

This is the Democrat Party’s major problem as we advance towards November: Not one single, solitary Democrat had the courage to defy their party leadership – San Fran Nan and Chuck Schumer – in the House or the Senate to vote in favor of what is rapidly becoming a very popular policy. It is in fact the exact same problem – though in reverse – that the Democrats had as the 2010 midterm elections approached. In that election, Democrats were having to defend their unilateral passage of Obamacare, the nationalization of our healthcare system, which they implemented without a single Republican voting in favor of it.

In that election, they had to defend a new policy that became increasingly unpopular as the year progressed, and ultimately, that election produced a GOP takeover in the House, and big GOP gains in the Senate. San Fran Nan’s meek admission yesterday is the first sign that the reality of the horrible, untenable position in which she, through her typically mindless leadership, has placed her fellow Democrats who are running for re-election this year.

With both Obamacare and the Trump Tax Cuts, Democrats and their fake news media agents made the mistake of unbridled hubris, the error of believing that their massive disinformation campaign could somehow convince the majority of the American public that they should not believe what their own eyes were telling them. With Obamacare, the public’s eyes told them throughout 2010 that the healthcare system had been thrown into chaos and their premiums had immediately begun to rise and they couldn’t keep their doctor, despite all the Democrat and fake media lies to the contrary. With the Trump Tax Cuts, the public’s eyes are telling them right now, this month, that their taxes did indeed go down, despite all the lies from the Democrats and the media that they would go up.

In both cases, Democrats ask voters “hey, who you gonna believe – me, or your lyin’ eyes?” In 2010, the voters believed their lyin’ eyes. Eight years later, the most recent polls show things are trending that way again. Funny how that works.

Just another day in the Democrat/media panic is palpable America.

That is all.

The party out of power usually loses seats in the mid term elections. So far the Statehouse races have been following this typical pattern. We must continue to fight like we are behind and the enemy is winning.

There are three issues that can win a HUGE (but temporary) GOP majority in the Senate:

1) Supreme Court (NOT abortion)
2) Immigration
3) Tax Cut

It is IMPERATIVE that State GOP organizations in the ten States with (D) Senators that Trump carried nominate candidates that support Trump’s positions on these three issues, ESPECIALLY immigration.

Unfortunately, they are probably cheap labor express sellouts.
