Rewriting English to excise the word man is not about inclusion or de-sexing what science has dubbed homo sapiens. Its about excluding and erasing God from the vernacular and, in effect, society.
Removing man from language cant change Creation There is a growing contingent of overzealous cultural reformers who believe that excising the word man from the English language will instantly do away with inequality on every level of existence. As one friend once put it, What form of reality are they living in? The meaning is apparent when individuals decide reality is based on their feelings. (And this is a guy who worked in the entertainment industry. You got it Hollywood. Maybe thats why he could pigeonhole the insanity of personal reality?)
The me too movement has been expanded from recognizing widespread sexual abuse to include all kinds of supposed discrimination, all of which is ascribed to the ubiquitous appearance of the word man.
Science may call us homo sapiens, but that may not last.
Though not intended as such in this context, a stand alone word “homo” is thought to be an insult by certain politically correct peoples.
Postmodernists believe that reality is an unknowable flux, and that man creates or constructs what appears to him to be reality. One way to construct reality is to use language in a certain way.
By changing the acceptable language, they hope to force a change in ideas. They hate: “Male and female He created them.”
More of an attempt to deconstruct anything honorable and decent.
Why do some people say humankind instead of mankind? HuMANkind still has man in it, so their intnetion to excise the word “man” is defeated.
Because some people are as dumb as the Prime Minister of Canada.
Peoplekind......./s
They can try to quell the proper term for Mankind, but God won’t be amused....
us REAL MEN are not going to let SISSIES and FEMINAZIS take over the world
TRUST ME
WONT HAPPEN
ECCE HOMO
What has been done to stop their progress so far?
Still waiting for the Canadians to change the name of Manitoba to Peopleitoba. And also to get rid of the racist name of the capital of Yukon Territory.
Such a "feelings"-based existence must make for a miserable life, inasmuch as the "others" who surround such an individual never can be certain of how their words or ideas may be appropriated (or misappropriated) by whatever the perpetual "victim" is "feeling" at any given time.
The media likes to use “gunman” all the time.
