I forgot to mention. Even when Alberta is conservative again, they still need to separate from Canada because otherwise nothing will ever change. We’ll keep being exploited for our cash while the rest live off our backs.
Don’t toss all the immigrants in one basket. The Chinese and Indian communities are entrepreneurial and more socially conservative than the average traditional Canadian. They have been increasingly getting involved in politics with all three major parties, because they want their own representatives. I agree that in Canada we will never turn back the clock, as successive governments have ensured that multiculturalism is a permanent fixture now in Canada. Most of these groups have not assimilated at all into Canadian society. They have each carved out neighbourhoods in the larger Canadian cities where they have their own banks, restaurants, grocery stores, temples, lawyers, realtors, etc., etc. But it has ensured that no single group has dominance. Generally people get along civilly, but any further increase in muslim immigration could poison the well for everyone.
Does the Canadian constitution allow for provinces seceding?
