Uneducated children? Nope history shows us repeatedly that when ever a government gets to much power the populace suffers. Most recently Venezuela.
IMO,its political posturing. Those youths proficient with firearms have owned them for a very long time. Those who want them will get them illegally. The fallacy is that left unchallenged, a time will come when only those weapons obtained illegally, by bad players, will have them. Then the bloodshed begins as they attack unopposed.
I am equally sure that the lions share of the children in the crowds are followers, that the speakers are student leaders, and activists, used to rallying the troops for their causes. But most, are there for the experience, and to get out of school.
Now is the time to talk to those students and take the snowflake mittens off and talk turkey to them, tell them the REAL truth, and why guns and protection are needed.
But, Just My Opinion, and how I would teach MY children.

The idiot Pope seems to agree - forget respecting elders and letting their experiences serve as a basis for mentoring - let the kids run the world......of course, we already do that - 95% of politicians aren’t any more mature than kids....
