"Heavy rain and melting snow flooded Yosemite Valley last weekend, covering some roads with four feet of water. Visitors were evacuated in advance. Turn up the volume and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience! (6:08 total)

Put a large dam up, and it would help with California water supply, and create a great recreational opportunity with the Yosemite Reservoir.
Like Hetch Hetchy.
Yes. Look at the before and after pictures of Hetch Hetchy. Much more attractive with water covering the mudflats. And the scenic areas would be accessible by boat.
I watched the entire video and never saw Yosemite Sam even once.
He was washed-away in the flood.
Great video!
I’ve been to Yosemite numerous times. It’s either ON fire, THINKING about starting on fire, just FINISHED being on fire, FLOODED or in drought conditions - leading BACK to more FIRE, LOL!
This is just a, ‘Mother Nature Time Out’ - before she bursts into flames once again. ;)
Tree huggers would never allow it. Cali is more interest in fish and snails than people.
Crazy. Would have been cool to hear those raging waterfalls.
I used to go there as a kid and thought it was heaven - especially floating down the meandering river on an inner tube. I climbed Yosemite Falls once and remember watching the fire falls at night. When it was about to get dark we’d drive over the where the garbage cans were and along with a bunch of other people would wait for it to get dark and then watch the bears come to dig through the garbage.
Great memories of Yosemite.
I love how the National Park Service filmed themselves in their video, driving their own truck closely past pedestrians, without slowing down, and drenching the people in water.
We pedestrians call those drivers, NPS, anti social a$$holes.

Wow.
Despite having been to a lot of places, I never visited Yosemite until this year. I was out in the Bay area with my brother and our wives on Super Bowl weekend.
The weather was real warm for February and we decided to explore Yosemite rather than watch the NFL which I had sworn off.
We got up at 4:00 and were out the door before 6:00. NO line at the gate. Park almost empty. Warm and dry we had a great day, ate at the Sunday grand lodge buffet and explored some more. Back home about when the game ended after a great day. No snow, no crowds, no mud, no line and fine food.
By golly, there he is! Thanks!
