There’s a major war brewing in the Middle East between Iran and Israel. It is now getting nasty and ugly, and for the first time, Iranian rockets hit Israel mainland targets. After President Trump decided to withdraw the US from the Iran nuclear deal, within hours of his decision, Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu, fearing a massive buildup of Iranian forces that have been taking place in Syria over the last several months, began to “retaliate” (read attack them on sovereign Syrian territory) via massive missile and air-strikes, pounding positions held by Iranian soldiers (Iran has a mutual defense treaty with Syria by the way) south of Damascus and near Aleppo. Iranian and Syrian fighters were killed and missile sites were destroyed. In retaliation and in response to Israel’s aggression, last night Iran’s Quds force (part of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards) who are operating outside Iran, launched over 70 missiles and rockets from Syria over targets in Northern Israel. Israel deployed the Iron Dome, their anti-missile defense system, and they were able to intercept and destroy some of the rockets fired by Iranian forces, but not all.

We have no business at all in any of that. That is my view. When we start killing other people and start getting the blow back from that I firmly believe all hell will break lose here. We are not going to go die for the Israel lobby. They started this with two unprovoked attacks on sovereign Syria.Keep that firmly in mind. It is irrefutable.
If Iran wants a war with the US they will get it unless the US returns to the grovelling cowardly Obama diplomacy, then Iran may just let us pay them for the privilege of the not making war on us. They are madder than hatters and wouldn’t flinch to drop something on us or our forces and then see what happens. War or a big pay day for them.

And as they near the brink of war, which is pretty damn close, have the CIA do their jobs and get the young Iranians in the streets again. Get them protesting the theocratic, oppressive regime, that enriches themselves and starves its citizens.
Important not to underestimate anyone or anything, but while Iran may be a state supporter of terrorism, is their military really that good? Can they go, toe to toe, with a military that is trained, motivated and has some of the most advanced military equipment on the planet. The Iranian Navy, what is it? A few Boston Whalers and speed boats that are effective against our huge ships, WHEN the US Navy is ordered not to engage them with any of the deck mounted weapon systems, like M2s, 20mm, CIWS, Phalanx. Those boats won’t get within a couple of hundred yards, if the US Navy were allowed to pull the trigger. And I think they have a few Russian, diesel powered subs, that probably wouldn’t last all that long.
Iran has a young population that just wants to be part of the world, a ginormous heroin addiction problem and, like most of the ME, outside the cities, the folks are living like nomads.
The younger generation of Iranians do not want war. They want the internet, to travel the world, drink, party and live their lives. They have seen what happened to Iraq. They have seen what is happening in Syria. I doubt they want any part of that nonsense.
Iran had to make a show just to back up their threats....... 20-50 rockets from a multiple launch platform is a one and done thing.... They need the news about this for propaganda more than anything else.
Also Iran knows they cannot attack inside Israel that would involve civilian casualties. That would be an immediate end to Iranian presence in Syria. And all bases with any Iranian presence are already programmed into weapons control systems. These sites would be neutralized and large numbers of personnel at these would be gone..
I cant even make up a legal basis for a no fly zone over Iran but I will assure you that will never happen. Did you know that Iran is fully backed by Russia and the SAM missiles they have would kill hundreds of our pilots. You people amaze me.

A USA Today story says an Iranian drone entered Israeli airspace in February. An Israeli F-16 retailed by attacking Syria and was shot down.
So because of a drone two counties are fighting.
It is ridiculous.
