This is entirely political, not legal at all. Rudy good with political stuff and can reach liberals.

I think it’s terrific. They’ve been needing an attack dog for some time. Rudy KNOWS New York, so they are not hidden. Folks know him. I’m loving it. Soon he can replace Sessions. (from my lips to Your ears Lord).

In paen to saint Rooty you neglected to mention that he was on the board of The Stonewall Veterans Association during his time as mayor, and he wasn’t just lending his name. He attended meetings.

Now perhaps that organization’s goals and yours align. But many here are appalled.

You want to defend Rooty against all comers fine.

But you absolutely will have to defend that part too, and there will be zero deflection on your part now or ever.

Every president must have an attack dog.

Traditionally, that role is filled by the Vice President.

Pence is worse than useless at it; he hasn't uttered a single word in aggression.

Thank God there's ONE member of the Trump team – besides Trump himself – who's out there on offense.

Thank the Lord for Rudy, and you can stuff it.

IMO Until now President Trump has made a huge error in allowing his personal lawyer to deal with the political animals in DC.

Having Giuliani come onboard finally gave him a flamethrower to fight with instead of an ivy league ambulance chaser. Since the switch, the public image of mueller has begun to take a severe whacking publically and in the court room and the presidents numbers are improving.

Trump himself is an attack dog. Why attack Pence? He perfectly compliments the President. Pence doesn’t need to be an attack dog.

I didn't neglect to say anything I wanted to say.

You're the one who brings up something I have no knowledge of nor have any responsibility to "bring up" as you call it. If it bothers you, that's fine, but don't project your negative issues off onto me.

If he's done something you don't like, that's your problem not mine.

First, you arrogantly imply that I somehow agree with the goals of some group that I know nothing about and have never heard of. You act like I committed some sort irreparable harm by the omission. WTF?

And then, if that wasn't presumptuous enough on your part, you then make some claim that "many here are appalled" about Rudy attending some meetings or something. "Many here are appalled"? Really? WTH does that mean? How about deal with it yourself?

Whatever problem you have with Rudy, fine, but don't dare drag me into it. I call your lame attempt to hold me responsible for something you have a burr in your saddle over, BS.

What? This some sort of secret club where I have to agree with your views but you are not required to agree with mine? If it is, I'm not playing the game. I don't want to be part of your "appallees group". Sounds like a bunch of "offended" liberals to me.

Right now, Rudy's going on offense against Mueller for Trump. Finally a lawyer on the attack for the president.

If he does that job well, I don't care about any Stonewall whatever you have your panties in a twist about.

Yes, Trump is an attack dog, duh. As I said in my post.

But even Trump, as skilled as he is, doesn't have time to be a one-man army on the hustings. He has a country to run and a globe to tame for America's safety and security.

Meanwhile, no one on the Trump team besides Rudy is out there fighting for the President; Pence has never bothered to lift a finger on Trump's behalf. Mike Pence has publicly defended Donald Trump on precisely NOTHING when it counted.

That is just one of the ten thousand reasons why I have never trusted Pence, who from Day One has been working extremely hard to build a rival power base.

Why do you think Trump put Corey Lewandowski on Pence's campaign team, eh?

You are so wrong about that.

“he’s (Guiliani is) a former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.*That* is a big deal.”

The current US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, was the one who raided Michael Cohen’s home and office for Mueller, and is conducting an investigation into Trump, at Mueller’s behest.

The former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bhrarara, is now on Mueller’s staff. He is also the guy who waived the immigration restriction on the Russian lawyer (Veselnitskaya) to have the meeting at Trump Tower to setup Don Jr., in coordination with Fusion GPS.

New York Dems are playing a major role in the coup attempt, and Rudy knows them by their first names, and last four digits of their SSNs.

Rudy was reportedly instrumental in taking out NY AG Schneidermann recently - who was a very active ringleader. It adds a lot of credibility to his claims that he will “rip him (Mueller) apart”. Rudy famously took on the five major Mafia crime families - and won.

With him in the fight, the enemy will take casualties. Bringing him onto the team signals a “no more Mr. Nice Guy” approach.

Of course he’s an ego-maniac.

He thought by simple assertion of leadership and priorities that he could reduce crime.

On the other hand, more American lives were saved in NYC in his first four years than were lost in Iraq and Afghanistan throughout the Bush administration - and by a strong margin. The first two years of “Clinton’s national crime reduction” was ENTIRELY the effect from NYC.

What arrogance.

BTW, for anyone walking around NYC under Dinkins vs under Giuliani, the whole city was like night and day.

Rudy’s involvement in promoting homosexuality was one of many factors which lead to his sound rejection by the majority on this site. Open borders was another. Socialized medicine in the mold of Kennedy Care, Clinton Care, Romney Care, and Obama Care was another. The reasons haven’t gone away.

I like the fact that he is now saying the Mueller witch hunt was illegal from the get go. There was no specific crime because “collusion” is not a crime, and both Rosenstein and Meuller have multiple conflicts of interest. It’s about time Trump lawyers directly challenged their legitimacy, first in public opinion, then court.

Yes. Just you.
I want Rudy to be onscreen everyday crushing Mueller, smashing Avenatti, destroying Stormy, spanking Brennan, exposing the lying media. I want theses scums to shake in their boots and to know their days of smearing Trump unopposed are over.
I want Rudy to be egomaniac, boisterous, politically incorrect and I don’t care even if he is doing ZERO legal work.
Anyone who believes Rudy needs any legal skill to fight against the political witchhunt by Mueller’s team of thug is mentally impaired.

It's 11 years later than that FR thread about him being a possible presidential candidate. Time to move on.

Besides, he's not running for an election here. He's just got a job with Trump as his hatchet man against Mueller and the Deep State.

I haven't seen a majority on this site reject him for this lawyering job for Trump.

If anything, I've seen many on this site want him in the AG position.

Rudy Giuliani will be 74 years old next week.

In my opinion, he’s lost his fast ball.

He has made two public statements that show he has not internalized all the critical facts in this case, and he has made two other public statements that were recklessly worded and gave the MSM an opportunity to heap abuse and accusations on Trump.

ABOVE ALL, President Trump must have trust and loyalty in his lawyers. Rudy is one of his oldest, dearest and most trustworthy, close friends.

He’s also an excellent and highly skilled lawyer. President Trump made a timely and wise choice.

In process of arranging the pieces and setting the stage - Trump is being served well by Rudy and is smart enough to know if things ain’t what they should be.
