The difference today is that our mass media allow these incidents to instantly go viral. So it seems like they are more numerous.
And to be considered hot by a teenage boy ... which they probably weren't when they were in high school.
Alas, these women need to understand that teenage boys, due to their crazed hormonal level, will do just about anyone. In other words, it's not you.

These women dont realize the extent of the hell they are making for themselves by crossing the line.
ALSO - its the cellphones anb the stupid texting and sending of photos: some dopey kid lets some other kid see his phone and VIOLA "there is Ms. Crabtree in her knickers!" If that other kid is a girl?? - they cannot stop themselves from talking about it and the wildfire is started. The story rages until a parent discovers it and then the cops get brought in.
Some teachers are motivated to teach because being in school was the best part of their lives. When they become teachers, they continue in school. Because of that, they have never learned to separate school from the real world. They live in a Peter Pan world.
U guys don’t get it. The young teachers are in to marathon sex. They could wait until the student is 18. That’s where it gets strange.
Free Republic long since has lost the sense of humor that used to be common. Anal-retentive moderators and uptight "church lady" posters have killed what was once a great place for conservatives to hang out. The squelching of PJ-Comix and John Semmens pings were the last straw.
I don’t think we’re getting more incidents. I think we’re getting more disclosures. Back in the day, students were more like adults in miniature - they understood the need for discretion. Today, students have been infantilized - they talk about *everything*, like babies who have recently learned how.
There’s another factor - it wasn’t such a big taboo in the past, so it was probably rarely chased down and prosecuted. The age of consent was once a way to ensure that kids acquired enough book knowledge to function well in the workplace. It is has now become a kind of religious taboo. Except no religion actually has such a taboo. The traditional age of consent (marriage) was puberty. In Judaism, for instance, the age of consent (marriage) pretty much begins with a bar/bat mitzvah, at the ages of 13 and 12 for boys and girls respectively.
Roy Moore dated teenagers when he was in his 30’s. It never came up in earlier political campaigns because it was never thought to be a big deal. There are lots of things that are radioactive today that were not thought remarkable decades ago.
Lust is insanity.
Heck, Simon and Garfunkel sang about lust involving an older female and younger male with great success 50 years ago and wow what a movie that song went with.
Those lyrics about being sent to the “funny farm” or “mental hospital” which we used to happen 50 years ago with thousands upon thousands deemed “insane”.

It is because far too many men are beta males (at best) today.
