I have no comment other than I wish my teachers were young 26 year old babes instead of the 60 year old hags I had.
As for the article, it offers very little scientific observations but rather keeps pointing towards moralistic shortcoming as judged by the author rather than a physiological or psychological basis for behavior.

When I was in 10th grade (1969), we had a first year English teacher, who didn’t look hardly any older than her students. It didn’t take long before it was known she was screwing several of the guys. When we came back from Thanksgiving she was no longer there. The word was that they had revoked her license to teach. I also know that my brother had a fling with his English teacher back in 1963. I think it just gets covered more, and with the internet, instagram, etc., the rumors spread like wildfire all over the country.
I was expecting the usual answer: MEN.
Do you suppose there would be a widespread call to end it, if men were doing it?

Seems as if my buddies had better luck with the English teacher than dry humping during slow dances in the gym Saturday nights.
If a male teacher does it they go to jail. Female teachers just get fired but can go teach elsewhere.
Because men THEIR AGE do understand the full potential costs of a sexual relationship. And very young men generally do not:
Loss of job, reputation, family, friends, etc.
A very young man has none of those but has to contend with sky-high T-levels.
I knew a substitute teacher in the 1980s that left her husband for a student. Personally, I think its that they want to be teenagers again.
Arrested development isn’t always obvious, but when you put it in a tank full of adolescents, it practically lights up. And maybe, too, some of these pervs don’t ever want to leave the school atmosphere so they go into the teaching profession.
Yet another reason: narcissists enjoy a captive audience and the classroom is loaded with worshippers. It probably doesn’t matter to some of them whether the attention comes from a 17yo or an 18yo — until they’re caught.
I can’t correlate generations and any statistics of this behavior. I do know our society has lost shame. Abortion ripped the soul and morals of women. The great influx of new teachers, as the old ones retired, were sex fueled from a debaucherous American culture, Pornography, Feminism, cesspool Social Media and perverted Colleges. There is no curriculum of inappropriate behavior or code of conduct taught in college education programs.
I want to know where these teachers were when I was in school!
