What colors the Queen wears is often symbolic. For instance, if she visits Wales, she might wear a color that represents a color on the flag of Wales. There’s a traditional rhyme or reason to every thing she does in public. Almost nothing is left to personal choice, it is always form.

Any idea what lime symbolizes? She always looks fantastic anyway. My husband was in London 2 years ago and saw the Trooping the Colour (just good timing, not planned). She was in a vivid dress that day, too.

The bride’s mother wore lime/chartreuse as well, so it’s possible they coordinated their colors. Very spring like colors. I didn’t watch the ceremony or any other part of it. Just viewed the photos online, and think the Queen looks quite well for being 92. Long live Queen Elizabeth II.

Just curious. You are British, yes? I haven’t watched the coverage, just DVR’d it. My husband is out of the country and we will watch it when he gets home (nice to be able to fast forward, too). Most of my Lib friends are ecstatic about the sermon from the American pastor. From the snippets I have heard, it sounds a bit like an ‘ugly American’ almost ‘in your face’type of sermon. If so, I am so sorry for the Queen that she had to be a part of it. American Leftists simply cannot stop injecting politics into EVERYTHING. It is tiresome. My question is: what do you think the Queen thought of it? My husband and I do not talk politics. I am more Conservative than he is and not talking politics is a good thing around our house.
