This ‘snowball’ has moved maybe two inches so far. I think in three years, there will be well over 500 non-North Korean companies working in North Korea, and each working to build compounds or mini-cities where an employee is ‘privileged’ (getting fresh fruit daily, gifts of cars, and electricity around the clock). They may still be the lowest paid in Asia, but I think they will be overwhelmed at the lifestyle change. North Korea might have to cook up a Doctor Phil show (kim style) to handle the pressure and stress of living in the new capitalist world.
