YAY!!! FreeRepublic was down yesterday, and I am SO glad to see it back and functional.
People need to cough up money for this site at the freepathons. This last one took nearly the entire quarter to complete. The next one will start next week already.
If you use this site and depend on it to get insight into Conservative views of political issues, as I do, then it’s incumbent on you to take out the credit card and put an appropriate amount of money down to support it.
You can set your own limit as to what is appropriate depending on your rate of usage and your financial circumstances, but it’s wrong to let such a small percentage of active users to carry the weight year after year.
I think targeted attack.
All the time. Every time. It is what they do. They are bankrupt intellectually, so their only alternative is to shut down the volume on those they don’t want to hear.
See, when I hear someone on the Left whose ideas I disagree with, if I don’t want to argue it with them, I simply don’t listen to them.
On the Left, they can’t do that. They are afraid someone else might listen to something they on the left disagree with but cannot refute (or simply find offensive) so they try to silence a voice so there is no chance anyone can hear that point of view.
The fact that WE think Leftists should have an athletic sock stuffed in their mouth, but recognize they have the right to speak, but they have no qualms about stuffing the sock in the mouths of people THEY disagree with speaks volumes about the Left and who they are.

I haven’t heard. I can understand if he didn’t want to advertise it, but...DOS attacks can be difficult to defend.
With the way things have been heating up between the Left and Right the last few weeks, I just assume it was deliberate.
Need the big brains at FR to find the truth.
I had to actually do some work at work while freerepublic was down.
