Chelsea Manning—who became a male-to-female transgender after going to prison as Bradley Manning for giving reams of classified information to WikiLeaks—allegedly attempted suicide earlier this week. Manning was taken to a prison hospital after an apparent attempted hanging.
This is not a surprise: “transgender” individuals have an alarmingly high suicide rate, somewhere north of 40 percent by some reliable estimates. A variety of explanations are often given for this astronomical figure, chief among them that transgender people are driven to kill themselves in such large numbers because they suffer from discrimination, bigotry and hatred.

There was a show called Taxicab Confession that was pretty good until it devolved into sleaze. One segment had a guy who had had it cut off. He was depressed and suicidal. “You can no longer orgasm. You no longer have any sexual feeling.” In a sane world, it would be played as a cautionary tale for these weirdos. It would probably be considered transphobic hate in our Bizarro world.
The same warped attempt to explain something that is obvious. They claim that dickchoppers kill themselves because of discrimination. They claim that blacks die younger than whites because of discrimination.

I’m basing my comments on my experience as a workers comp case manager-I’ve had more trannies as clients than I care to think about-most of them were fat and ugly before their “transformation” and expected it to make them suddenly beautiful-totally unrealistic expectations-like I said, mentally ill...

I am flummoxed as to who watches these types of shows. There is one show about a boy that is transitioning, “Jaz”? There are evidently enough viewers that have kept this on the air.
I just don’t get it...
The mostly suffer from the internal mental battle attempting to maintain mental stability with an obsession that has convinced them of a lie - that they are not the sex that they in fact are. There are former “trans” folks who have admitted that, as well as some of suicides themselves.
What the adult transgender person lacked most was not getting good strong but compassionate familiar and professional help shaking off the obession that took hold of them at a young age. There are possibly as many folk who had that success when young, as those who never did, and never did. Those who did not get the obession treated as the erroneous obsession it is, usually lacked the strength of conviction to admitting the truth and sticking to it in the earliest and hard part of overcoming it, by parents and other adults around them, even professionals. The easy road, of “not upsetting the child” and letting them continue pretending is the road often taken.
It’s actually due to being nuts and then becoming the “poster creatures” for a nutty society.
