What a great story! Cool too as most people like him (bookish intellectuals) are not so great at being ‘bothered’ in the public sphere—especially by small children. Very sweet.
I saw him on “Firing Line” a couple of times.
He was an economic liberal. I thought both times that Buckley let him off easy. I also got the feeling that Buckley liked him.
Can’t remember the last time I saw references to Bill Clinton and intellectualism in the same sentence.
