Twilio, a San Francisco-based cloud communications platform company, has opened an office in Buckhead.
According to company representatives, Twilio plans to add more than 50 employees at the new office in the next few years, including positions in sales, human resources and engineering. The Atlanta office will hold a recruiting event for some of these positions from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. July 10 at WeWork Terminus.

The company decided to open in Atlanta due to the citys number of Fortune 500 companies, a highly-skilled workforce and an opportunity to be closer to its growing customer base in the region, according to company spokeswoman Caitlin Epstein. The office is now open in the Terminus building in Buckhead.
Our need to grow and expand Twilios presence both in the US and internationally is fueled by customer momentum, she said. Twilio is looking to establish presence in cities where our customer base is growing and a thriving developer community exists.
