“If she runs, she will enter the race with significant advantages”
except she won’t be able to raise significant amounts of money because here heretofore “whales”, including Hollywood whales have publicly expressed extreme dissatisfaction with her inept campaign and the way she wasted their precious millions ... they’re not gonna give a two-time loser like hillary any more big bucks ... hillary will be able to raise only small amounts from starry-eyed, true-believer, fervent fools ... no where near enough for a Presidential campaign ...
in a rematch against Trump, it would be different, because Trump would be running on his record.
Also, we don’t know if Jill Stein and that libertarian, I forget his name, will be involved. Last time, 6% of the vote went to other than the two major parties.
Hillary and her people hate to hear this, but Hillary is extremely unpopular, and it’s hard to see her pick up votes from former Trump supporters.
On the other hand, we could easily see a few disaffected Democrats who supported Hillary before, vote for Trump in 2020.
Barring some black swan event in the politics or culture, I think Trump wins a rematch. I think many Democrats privately see this, and really want Hillary out of the way.
“Why, she can hardly WALK!”
If you project the health and stability decline we’ve witnessed in the last two years, it’s hard to believe she could perform even at the same lackadaisical level she managed in 2016. Let’s face it. A candidate has to work 12 hours per day seven days a week for at least a year to get elected. She couldn’t manage it in ‘16. How will she manage it in ‘20?
Run? She can’t even get up the steps.
“Run? She cant even get up the steps.”
Or DOWN the steps!
She crawls and slithers.
she can hardly WALK!
.......
Much less waddle....
“Run Hillary Run” sounds like a good front bumper sticker.
The press will find a way to cover for her if she’s wheelchair or scooter bound just like they did for FDR.
It's good for business.
Whether she starts to believe that she actually has a chance is another matter.
“The press will find a way to cover for her if shes wheelchair or scooter bound just like they did for FDR”
The press will certainly try but it’s also not the 1930’s. There are mobile and wired cameras everywhere now and word as well as images will get out, just like when she collapsed on 9/11.
We’re all reporters now.
Or navigate stairs by herself.
For what it’s worth, she does indeed have the name recognition. However, three things working against her:
1. DNC and democrats know Bernie got shafted by the super-delegate system. I doubt they will do that again but you never know for sure with these guys.
2. Everyone knows she gets the debate questions ahead of the debate. I’m sure Trump will not stand for it, this time. I doubt he will agree to a CNN-hosted debate.
3. She will be 4 years older and frailer. People have made very compelling arguments that she is very ill. (Parkinson’s, alcoholism, etc.) If Trump holds rallies at even a modest frequency, she won’t keep up.
The one thing the DNC can do is stuff ballots and cheat at mega-record rates. This would be her only path to victory. It would require a Republican party asleep at the wheel certainly not an unlikely event.
Hillary running in 2020 is my dream.
The party hates the idea. But, the DNC is broke and the Clintons, historically, have been cash raising machines. Though that may be a tougher sell this time around. She has no access to anything to trade at the moment, no people, technology, weapons, or state secrets she can barter away.
Oh, the conundrum.
The bipartisan bumper sticker.
The only thing she can do to win is get The Resistance to keep the heat on Trump, make sure Soros has "reliable" voting machines so that all them illegals pouring into our country have a proper way to vote for her.
Amen! Imagine the fun of Oprah “ debating” Trump - pay for view material!
I hope they run her too - can anyone name someone on the planet who hasnm't heard of Trump?
