With a Loud Ovation, Baseball Shows Its Whiteness
The New York Times ^ | July 27, 2018 | Michael Powell

We live in an age of unbridled white id.

Many days it is anything goes, baby, from the White House to the baseball stands; objecting often draws a scornful wave of the hand and a lecture on political correctness.

The latest eruption comes courtesy of Josh Hader, a 24-year-old white relief pitcher with a smoking fastball and a Twitter account filled with hideous thoughts typed when he was 17 and 18. A Hader sampler: “White Power, lol” (with an emoji of a clenched fist), “KKK,” and “I hate gay people.” He also used that vilest of words for black people.

This all came to light as Hader pitched in the All-Star Game last week. After the game, he mumbled something about being influenced by rap lyrics. Then he abandoned that tack and began apologizing profusely. “I was 17 years old, and as a child I was immature,” he said, “and obviously I said some things that were inexcusable.”

It's Michael Powell, son of Colin Powell.

He was appointed head of the FCC by George W. Bush after he was appointed by Bill Clinton which tells you more about the Bush's.

This is such an outrageous story, and exemplifies why liberals are not only out of touch but dangerous. What it shows is how forgiving we are, not how “white” we are. For every crime except murder there’s a statute of limitations. After seven years, we no longer have to keep our income records. After seven years, every cell in the human body is new.

Secular socialists are incapable of forgiveness, but our very judicial system and our Western way of life is predicated on the Christian concept of forgiveness. How else can we move forward?

...

Seems like a legitimate excuse to me.

I believe that the number was artifically high in the late ‘70’s because dark skin Latinos were actually categorized by the league office at the time as ‘black’ players. Before we had non white Hispanics or whatever. But the actual percentage now legitimately at a 4 year high which leaves plenty of work but is worth a counterpoint to articles like this.

It’s becoming more obvious than ever that blacks and whites will never be able to peacefully coexist together. Better a friendly divorce and let each side go its own way.

That’s her; yep.
The reason I heard for her troubles, was that she used the N-word, 25yrs ago, in one of her restaurants. BFD.

It’s not working, and it hasn’t for quite some time, if it ever actually did.

Maybe ‘they’ are onto something here.

If this ‘kid’ was a boor way back when maybe he should be ‘punished’ for it now.

RIGHT AFTER

We dig through ALL the college and high school pictures of the Black sportspeople and gig them for every picture of them with a ‘clenched black fist’, a Tommy Smith photo, a Malcolm X shirt, BLM gear, bandanas, headbands, dreadlocks, cornrows etc etc then we can run their 17 yo arse up the flagpole along with the idiotic White boys that did the same type things or dared be in a picture with a ‘Rebel Flag’ in it somewhere.

The one poster that said the Central & South Americans have no respect for the American Flag may be correct but I seriously doubt you could get ANY of them to say that WE haven’t given them a golden opportunity and some of the younguns even learn English (Juan Soto with the National is 19 and speaks better English than a good number of the College ‘educated’ Black football & basketball players).

Like the Flag or not, they all seem to stand at attention (or what is deemed to be attention in todays world) during playing of the National Anthem

How many white people have a poster or t-shirt with a fist on it with words Black Power?.

The reality is a law-abiding white person strolling through a black section of town is in FAR GREATER danger than a law-abiding black person strolling through a white section of town.

that the percentage of black baseball players has really declined a lot in recent years.

Actually, I don’t think it has. The percentage of black American baseball players has declined, but the black players from the Caribbean don’t count as ‘black’ for purposes of the ‘lament’.

Imagine the outcry if they had a Max Schertzer night with 18 or 19 Ks.... KKꓘ ꓘꓘK KꓘK ... ETC ETC 'They' would go bat guana crazy. However, when the 'called' strike outs are posted they would get the backward slant and the dissenters would be saying the KKK was so screwed up they can't even post KKK properly.. Oh yes on some night the Nationals have a 'K' St special - I guess it means for Strikeouts but??? Imagine if 'they' ever tie the 'K's to KKK they will drop that idea about as quick as they did Papa Juans' If the Nats ownership had any gonads they could have said they were dropping PJs because of the kneeling/anthem controversy AND the fact Juan used the 'N' word BUT PJs still pays the NFL no guts, no glory. (FOR those in Rio Linda, a backwards K depicts a CALLED third strike - meaning the batter did NOT swing but watched the pitch go by - hence CALLED 3rd Strike).

= = = = = = = = = = = =

I always figured the ‘rule of thumb’ was the blacks and dark skinned Central & South America were considered Black when they ‘behaved’ or White when they misbehaved.

I also think the Central &South Americans don’t call themselves African Americans, they call themselves, Dominicans, Haitians etc etc

That's it! I'm never watching baseball again! Or buying team merchandise, either!

In truth, I never have done so by my own choice. My life-long "boycott" of sportsball of all kinds has been right up there with my "boycott" of the flu; I just don't like it and go all kinds of out of my way to avoid it. That year they all went on strike was one of the best years of my life.
