KYL APPOINTMENT: Gov. Ducey is Just Like The Rest of Them

Posted on 09/05/2018 6:42:38 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Kyl is 76. He can quit in January AFTER Ducy is re-elected. Then he appoints someone else and there will be nothing we can do no matter who he appoints. He's taking the easy way out. The only thing he's concerned about is November. Cowardly. In 2022 he can go for McCains seat. If the seat is lost in 2020 it will be his fault. What newcomer wants to run in 2020 only to run again 2 years later? The fix is in.

All you people who are not from Arizona really don’t know what you’re talking about.

Why don't you enlighten us.

Kyl is supposedly only staying until January 19, 2019.

Respectfully, you are 100% wrong. This is a great strategy and while, yes, it might be about Ducey’s re-election it might get us two great Senators.

Kyl takes the job temporarily. If McSally wins, them Kyl resigns and Ducey appoints Kelli Ward, even more awesome, to the seat. If McSally loses in November, then Kyl resigns immediately and Ducey appoints McSally anyway, and she instantly becomes Arizona’s senior Senator.

Appointing Kelli Ward now seems the right thing to do, but McSally could lose in November. Appointing McSally now would probably guarantee that Krysten Sinema, the bisexual sorority girl, would win.

I’ve been watching these shenanigans now for 30 years and this is the cleverest one yet. Bravo, Governor Ducey!

See post 43. Even if Ducey loses, he and Kyl still have nearly 60 days to ensure that the gambit works. The key is Kyl. He could always change his mind and decide to stay, or God forbid not resign until the Dem Governor is sworn in. But that I seriously doubt.

“All you people who are not from Arizona really don’t know what you’re talking about.”

that’s just so typical of the know-it-all ignorance that’s epidemic here ...

Ducey could die before any of that nonsense could occur.

Plato called politics “the highest art.”

That is a useless requirement since a Demon would appoint the Ultimate RINO.

Actual art doesn’t deserve that slam.

Have you ever run for political office and won?

So what? You don’t think it was well thought out, but believe me, it was well thought out. Ducey doesn’t do anything that isn’t well thought out. You may not like the supposed outcome, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t thought out.

And since this thread is about Arizona, I’ll qualify it more.. have you ever run for office in Arizona and won?

Yup. Love it here. Its the GD liars and crooks that run most of the state that gripes me.

BTW. Mohave county will most likely lose the water rights battle with the central valley.

Hope not. But thats what happens when they stand around with their thumbs up their backsides waiting for someone else to do something. Its the AZ way you know.

Kelli Ward wont get appointed dog catcher in this state. So get that out of your head.

She is not from the right area of the state, wont grease the right palms and wont toe the line to a certain group.

Besides that, she ran an amateur campaign and made herself look bad this election. Enough so that if she runs again, she will become a three time loser since they now have all that ammunition to use against her.

Water has been, is becoming even a bigger political football here. So, anyone from the central valley, Phoenix, etc, will use that as an issue to garner votes where there are the most. That is..the central valley. That area, including Wickenburg, etc, has a very LARGE majority of the population in this state. Get the picture?

Well, cut us some slack, the conservative blogosphere seemed to think she was a better pick than McSally, who was too close to Flake and McCain.

As a Californian, I don’t have a dog in that hunt EXCEPT that we do not need another RINO from Arizona.

Hells bells, if I was sure that Sheriff Joe had another 10 years in him I’d luv to see a cranky old dude like him in the US Senate.
