President Trump’s pardon powers are absolute. He can pardon Manafort for any and all crimes committed by him up to and including the day of the pardon. He can do it without Manafort asking for it. The crimes do not have to be named. But I do think Manafort should have to give up his property.

Has a Presidential pardon ever been overturned, nullified,by any court or by any other means? I assume that Swampy Bob knows that one cannot “refuse” a Presidential pardon. If you're doing time for a Federal crime and the President pardons you then you're released...whether you want it or not.

Mueller made a lot of money very nefariously off the tax-payer’s back. Restitution is DUE.

Mueller thinks he can limit in some way the President’s constitutional pardon power?

An unconstitutional plea deal is no plea deal.

Anyone who is convicted under any federal statute has a right to request the president for a pardon.

Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, the President’s power to pardon seems nearly limitless:

“[The President] shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”

The rules and procedures for seeking and receiving a pardon are contained in the Code of Federal Regulations (Title 28, Chapter 1, Part 1). Anyone who wishes to apply for clemency at the federal level must follow the rules and file a petition with the Department of Justice (specifically, the Office of the Pardon Attorney).

If they found criminal behavior that broke state law a Presidential pardon would not help him there. I believe the bulk of the charges against him were tax evasion and failure to register as a lobbyist. I assume he didn’t pay New York state taxes either so, again, a Federal pardon will only partially help him.

There is no way Mueller can do an end run around a Trump full and complete Pardon. It erases everything. It can even be done for all Federal crimes, both known and unknown as of the Pardon date.
Mueller knows this. It’s bluster.prosecutorial puffery.

This is nonsense.

A POTUS pardon power is thorough and complete. It cannot be encumbered.

POtUS can pardon for specific crimes AND crimes that may have been committed up to the pardon date.

I bet any such agreement would be enforceable nor constitutional.

Presidential powers cannot be usurped.
