Trump is obviously talking about the military in Venezuela, not the US military. Notice the source of this. The article is trying to justify its existence, which it fails miserably to do.

The cost of servicing our debt just went up and at $21.5 trillion it’s about to go parabolic. We have too many serious problems here at home that need to be addressed now.

I always thought the CIA should have taken Hugo Chavez out. It was obvious how it was going to turn out. On the other hand, there is yet another documented failure of socialism. As if liberals were able to learn from that.
