I cannot imagine what the Kavanaugh family is experiencing tonight, as the Democrats won their FBI investigation. Senator Grassley fought hard, and he ended the Committee meeting abruptly without explaining to the whining Feinstein.
President Trump has, of course, done the only thing he could do at this point.
“I’ve ordered the FBI to conduct a supplemental investigation to update Judge Kavanaugh’s file,” Trump said in a statement released by spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Twitter. “As the Senate has requested, this update must be limited in scope and completed in less than one week.”
Trump ordered the investigation after two key Republican senators — Jeff Flake and Lisa Murkowski — said the FBI should investigate Christine Blasey Ford’s claim that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school. Kavanaugh categorically denied it.

Why is this a headline? Democrats ALWAYS get their way.
Look,it’s pretty obvious Flake has pledged to vote Yes by throwing him this bone. WE know this one-week background check won’t find anything.
The Leftists will yell and scream like they always do, but if Flake goes back on his word after getting this one-week cover from McConnell? It would be the ultimate betrayal.

Flake fooled us 6 years ago. He read the tea leaves this time and decided to burn bridges on his way out. Doubt if he’ll stay in Arizona. Our next back stabber will be Mittens. Whether it’s Kasich, Chuck Hagel, or Murkowski, these red state RINOS need to be squished like a bugOUR JOB. Collins I can accept given her (Maine) circumstances.

That’s open up the investigation to exam the accusers. The RATs may find they have awaken the sleeping giant of truth.

THIS FBI? Are you kidding? Rosenstein is still the de facto Attorney General and is probably directing this whole thing.
Not only that, Rosenstein is still able to stonewall the president’s order to “immediately” release the declassified FISA docs.
Make no mistake, RR is still running the show over there.

The slide of America continues downhill thanks to a spineless congress. This circus has been fun and very entertaining. We have heard tales of open sex and rape amongst high school children. Oh my, the shock of it all. But never fear President Trump has the FBI to sort it out. America’s most non political, neutral institution ever created. This should put us on track .
Due to three Republicans. Remains to be seen if the three Republicans live up to their word.
If the FBI couldn’t find anything adverse in Kavanaugh background after six investigations, there are slim chances for a seventh to uncover anything.
And if the democrats refuse to believe sworn testimony of three or four witnesses for Kavanaugh, how can they logically believe any sworn testimony against Kavanaugh. And they are, at this moment, trying to locate just that.
OK, so Flake makes us work for it another week. Didn’t he vote with Trump 90+% of the time? Guess that makes Sasse tolerable. Slap us upside the head from time to time just for the lefties and wink wink after we get our way. Guess that’s how it’s done in D.C. I just don’t enjoy being phu-ked with.
I think people here are overreacting about the FBI inquiry. Republicans, and especially Trump, wouldn’t bend to political pressure unless they had a back up plan. Frankly, as more information comes out that Dr. Ford is connected to the CIA, and her family is long time CIA operatives, as well as her connections to the Clintons, the political anger will only swell. Without any witnesses to back her up, and and FBI investigation that does not fit her testimony, anger will grow further. Then, they can force the Senate and call a vote on the floor, and politically the Democrats will be hurt if they try not stop it or vote against him.
The Democrats need a way out now, an investigation that shows evidence not consistent with Dr. Ford’s testimony, gives them an out. They satisfy their base, of due diligence, and hope that the rest of America forgets that they staged the whole event before the Mid-Terms. You can bet that Trump and the NSA is already tracking the money, the people, the places, and it will be released to the public.
I see that the Democrats were using Dr. Ford and the sexual misconduct issue, hoping to delay. They expected a bargain from Trump, probably related to the FISA and NSA abuse. This has morphed into a test of wills and truth, with Judge Kavanaugh and his family in the middle. The mistake the Democrats made, because they live in an echo chamber of ‘like travelers’ and urban areas, is the real anger felt by independents and motivation of the right for the mid-term vote. What started as a test of will and good vs evil, has become an ‘all in’ game for the Democrats in which they are betting the 36 year old memories of a CIA operative for accuracy.
Flake just did everyone a favor in my opinion. I don’t think the Democrats will be left with a pair of 5’s after the investigation.
