BUT.....the resultant FBI report is handed off to Trump.
That is the key here. I now understand why he agreed to it.
Democrats are irreversibly stupid if they think Trump will allow the FBI to set the terms for Kav’s confirmation.
Lying to FBI agent = federal felony.
Hoping some of these folks recant. Accuser 3 is a complete nut. Accuser 2 wasn’t certain with her story. Many friends, employers, ex’s said they are dishonest and crazy. There also may have been a reluctance to give details until now about the “victims.”
This could play out in our favor.
Let’s see….the Democrats find a woman with emotional problems who happened to go to school in the same place that Judge K went to school. They get her the same attorney that is defending McCabe, and pay the legal tab for her. They set up an unusual polygraph test in an airport motel by an ex-FBI operator. She doesn’t know who paid for that. She flies back to CA and waits for her summons from Feinstein’s office. Charles Grassley staggers through the Kavenaugh hearings, and when they get ready to vote, Feinstein springs the surprise attempted rape allegation and the charade is on.
The only good thing about this horrible injustice is that the fossil generation of Republicans will soon be gone, and the younger generation, with the exception of the terminally dense Flake types who won’t get elected, will be much less gullible. Pray that the nation survives until that better day.
Roberts used Kavanaugh’s opinion/dissent from a lower court ruling that the mandate was a tax which saved “Obamacare”. Kav is a populists and not an independent like Thomas and Scalia. Independent in terms of adhering to previous court opinions, a.k.a., court precedence is not the end-all-be-all.
And “I am Farticus” Booker groped a teen while in high school but he has “evolved” since then.
Democrats always get their way due to “a Republican”.

I think K is a bright guy, well qualified for the Court and he and his family have been hit with lifetime slanders from the trash of the universe. Nonetheless, I was disappointed when Trump selected him over Amy Comey Barrett - it seemed that he was deferring to Justice Kennedy, for whom K worked as a law clerk, and giving a sop to the Bush Republicans. Barrett would have fought much harder, the lines would have been clearer, the scum could not have brushed her with lies of this nature, and the Red State Dems who voted against her would have gone down to defeat in a month.
Saw a post on twitter some time back. It stated that DJT was offered Kavanaugh’s confirmation in exchange for not releasing the redacted material That was a couple of weeks before the hearing and he ordered the unclassification of materials. Someone (Brennan ) is afraid I suggest him because of all the CIA connections the accusers have.
If so , is this a sting being set up?

Flake won’t have to go back on his word if Collins and Murkowsky one “No.”. If he is the deciding vote, he can always find something in the report that “troubles” him and vote “No..” it’s part of the game.
The FBI should conclude Sunday, say no new info. Case closed, vote Monday.
