VIDEO

The purpose of this new channel is to share very practical tips on how to lose weight. On May 27, 2018 I weighed 320 pounds. As of September 28, 2018 my weight dropped 54 pounds to 266 pounds. I was able to do this while still eating quite hearty and the purpose of this channel is to share my experience and tips with you.

If you did low-carb and felt deprived, you cut out the fats too. You need the fats to feel satiated. You can have low-carb desserts, and smother them with whipped cream. Or, choose the fattiest cut of meat, and don't trim them. Eat vegetables dipped in Cream cheese, or bacon bacon bacon, fried in a pan. Blueberry muffins made with coconut four.

My daughter did it back in her teens, lost 40+ pounds, and never put it back on.

Low carb - no fat diets do not work. I saw a study on that a couple years ago.

No I didn’t cut out the fats. We did pure Atkins which has all the fats. I felt deprived. And I hated shopping and cooking for it. I like the fasting much better. It’s just easier.

Is there any chance that you'll be starting a Free Republic "Half Of Me" ping list, to notify us whenever you add new youtube videos (for those of us who do not have a youtube id)?

No question we are all different, so I'm glad you've found what works for you. My Uncle tried low carb and did no fats and gained weight, he started doing it right and has lost quite a bit of weight (but has a long, long way to go).

I’m glad you found what works for you! Myself, I couldn't make Atkins because I worked 10-12 hours a day and drove an hour each way. I was good at meals I could make in 20 minutes or less...

Now I've been on the cancer & chemo diet, and am working to gain some weight and increase sodium. Figures, huh?

I’m sorry. I’ve been on the cancer and chemo diet and it’s a tough one. I gained weight on it though because they pumped me full of steroids to counteract an allergic reaction to one of the drugs in my cocktail. Even though I wasn’t eating. I’ve had a weight problem and a hard time losing weight ever since.
Good luck And I hope the chemo works for you. I’m 9 years clean now.

Thanks. I was on iv chemo in 2015, and chemo pills ever since. Metastatic breast cancer, stage 4 when found (breast tumirs were thin ribbons instead of lumps and not detected early). I told the onc I expect to live another 30 years! Everything post surgery has been small lesions that pop up then go away. I’m holding out for the nano treatments that only attack the cancer and not evefything else ;-)
