Facing pressure from Congress to act, President Donald Trump vowed severe punishment on Saudi Arabia if it turns out that missing WaPo reporter Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, as Trump turned up the pressure on the kingdom in an interview to be broadcast Sunday night.
Nobody knows whether Saudi officials are involved although they deny it vehemently, Trump said in an excerpt of a CBS News 60 Minutes interview.Its being looked at very, very strongly. We would be very upset and angry if that was the case.
Were going to get to the bottom of it, and there will be severe punishment, the president said, noting that the Saudis denied in every way you can imagine having anything to do with Khashoggis disappearance when his son-in-law Jared Kushner spoke with Saudi Arabias crown prince.

You are exactly right, why the H are we getting involved. This guy was not an American citizen, but a Saudi Citizen. If something happened, it happened in Turkey, not the U.S. and even in Turkey, it was in the Saudi Embassy, which under international norms, Saudi Territory. So why is this any different that Turkey killing its citizens, or Iran or Syria. We should stay out of it.
