Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
Ok, so, that Kavanaugh smear didn’t work, so the fake news media needs a new narrative. – Meet the new narrative, same as the old narrative. The “Kavanaugh is a gang rapist!” narrative was a miserable failure; the “Taylor Swift endorses Phil Bredesen!” narrative crashed up on the shoals of disastrous poll results; the “Trump misreported his taxes!” narrative held public attention for about, well, no time at all; and the “It’s gonna be a BLUE WAVE!!!!!” narrative is showing clear signs of being more like a Tidy Bowl toilet flushing. What’s the fake news media to do?
Why, make up a new narrative, that’s what. The trouble is, the fake news media is a lot like Hollywood: It cycles through new scripts so rapidly that it has run fresh out of ideas. So the obvious answer? Do a remake!
That’s right: Just as Hollywood recently brought us completely unnecessary remakes of films like “Ben Hur” and “A Star is Born,” the newsfakers at the New York Times this morning are treating us to a completely unnecessary remake of “Is Trump on a Collision Course With Impeachment?” . Isn’t that wonderful?
*sigh*
With Robert Mueller systematically winding down his “investigation”, Democrat hopes of gaining a majority in either house of congress rapidly fading, and exactly ZERO legitimate justification for removing a president from office having been identified by Mueller or anyone else, this reboot of the “impeachment” narrative will also have a very short shelf life. So expect the newsfakers at the New York Times and the rest of our fake news media to be bringing us yet another narrative sequel, reboot or remake soon, because that’s all they got left.
Elsewhere, Andy McCarthy, one of just two writers at The National Review still worth reading (the other being the great Victor Davis Hanson), has a piece out this weekend titled “Who Will Save the Democrats From Their Leaders?”. In the piece, McCarthy systematically disassembles the utterly corrupt Eric Holder piece by piece in a way that is a true work of art. It’s a fantastic read that I highly recommend to everyone.
Here is one outstanding passage to whet your appetite:
“But if there is anyone who knows about “going low,” it is Mr. Holder. He is, after all, the first attorney general in American history to be held in contempt of Congress.
And low is exactly where Holder — along with Hillary “No Civility Unless We Win” Clinton and the rest of the social-justice arriére-garde — has taken a once-great political party.
In a better time, we would not be talking about Eric Holder. He would be dismissed as a fringe radical who endorses forcible, extortionist tactics against political adversaries (and then, in familiar Holder fashion, spends the next day pretending he didn’t say what he said). In a better time, we would be asking why anyone would care what Eric Holder says, about anything.
But today, Holder is important. Today, he is a mainstream Democratic leader.”
Go read it. Trust me, it’s worth 5 minutes of your time.
And this from the #NeverTrump fantasy world of fake conservatism… – Washington Post pet fake conservative lapdog Kathleen Parker has a new piece up this morning in which she blames President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) for her and other Americans drinking too much alcohol. I swear I don’t make this stuff up. Here’s a quote:
“Lately, at least from my perch on the porch, the evening cocktail has become less an aperitif than a medicinal slug made necessary by the alternative of ripping off my face. To bear witness to These Times In Which We Live is to go insane, join a cult or pour your favorite poison.”
Ms. Parker obviously has a severe aversion to all this #WINNING.
Oh, hey, that’s just how Joe is. – And while we’re at it, let’s not leave Joe Biden out of all the Trump-bashing fun. Creepy Ol’ Joe had this to say about the President of the United States of America (something Joe Biden will never become) on Saturday:
“He is just trashing American values the way he talks about people, the way he makes fun of people, the way he denigrates folks.”
Ok, now, to refresh everyone’s memories, this is the exact same Joe Biden who:
- Gleefully participated in the slandering of Robert Bork; - Cheerfully helped organize the smearing of Clarence Thomas; - Said Barack Hussein Obama was a great African American presidential candidate because he’s “clean” and “articulate”; - Said that “In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.” and - Has spent the last 30 years getting caught on film creepily fondling and otherwise violating the personal space of all manner of women and even Chris Coons’s teenage daughter.
Someone needs to remind Mr. Biden that he lives in a very, very fragile glass house, and throwing rocks from within it is a really bad idea.

We are drinking a lot more at our house too, but it's because we are celebrating all of the WINNING that is going on, thank you President Trump.

I’m almost sympathetic, it sounds as though Kathleen Parker is going through what I went through under both Bill Clinton pretending to be president and the even more absurd, some guy calling himself Obama, pretending to be president.
