I've been told it's better to store rifles pointing down so the oil won't pool in the action.
Admittedly it doesn't look as cool.
Opinions?

It’s true. Oil will polymerize and lock up an action over time. I’ve had to break into several locked-up actions and use solvent and steel wool to make them operational again. Of course, if it’s a shooter, the oil shouldn’t have time to polymerize.

The first thing I thought of was being in the box, but then I realized you must have that set up at home. Cool!

It’s a struggle.

I think it’s time I spent some actual money to making a good gun wall. Because I hang them up like hats right now. And my bow collection is an utter mess as well. It was fine with 10 or so units, but that was outgrown long, long ago.
