The only way to keep the migrants out, is to engage in an Anti Invasion Action (AIA).
The military is already sending tanks and troops to the border which I suspect is because this is whats possibly planned.
Our military can engage in a limited action to push into mexico 25-50 miles along the southern border. We can then declare this strip of land to be part of an active military action, and prevent the movement of any people into or out of this buffer zone.
Therefore the invaders don't make it to our border.
I doubt we will meet much resistance from the Mexican military. It will be like when Israel invaded part of Syria recently to form a protective buffer zone.
While I think you want the best, it is impossible to do anything with all these lawyers and weak people in America. Resisting an invasion is a legitimate use of our military.

What we need is a Military Frontier, like Croatia was for Hungary.

Its not a matter of what Mexico is capable of. The US goes from potentially being a victim to being the INVADER. Invading Mexico without an iron-clad excuse may be seen as an impeachable offense. The media will turn this into hitler invading Poland. This is NUTS.

We can invade anybody we want. Do you remember the Iraq war? The mexican government is responsible for the murder of more americans than the Iraqi government was.

The first mexican american war was over an argument about where the border should be, and america was actually WRONG.
War is not impeachable as the PRESIDENT is the sole commander in chief, not the congress or every senator or every judge.
It would create a negative firestorm of world opinion and its very unnecessary. Just inforce our existing laws.

Who is going to resist? The mexican government will let us in or otherwise not resist because they don’t want to risk a conflict. they are wimps.
Apparently it only takes about 5,000 unarmed civilians to move the Mexican Army out of the way. If the Mexican Army wants to help us by stopping them on their own more power to them.
if they don’t we only need about a 20-yard buffer. The invaders can go through a line one at a time just like cattle at a slaughterhouse.

I worked at some retail stores on Black Friday where cranking out 5000-8000 customers in a day was no big deal.
The idea that 15,000 soldiers with combat engineers couldn’t put together something of a slick entry labyrinth in a week or two demonstrates a pretty low opinion of our military. they know how to do it, we’re going to do it, and the illegals are going to have it done to them.

The caravan is not a Mexican government sanctioned event, they are caught in the middle to a certain degree....
I have considered this. It could be a diplomatic option. We tell Mexico, either you control this nonsense, or we create the US Occupied Mexico zone. No negotiations. Get some Mexican skin in the game.

I don’t understand why you guys are being such wimps about this.. The purpose of the Military is to protect the country from invasion, armed or unarmed.
I’m even willing to have it be limited in scope.. however If we wanted to why not just take all of mexico for the sake of argument only? we could restore law and order to the drug affected areas and liberate the mexican people if you really need a moral reason..

Exactly, the limited scope and action would allow a quick turnback of this invasive force.
I agree and I am glad the mexicans have tried to help but this has been going on for years. Maybe it could be a joint operation.
