We won’t need a military when we don’t have a country.

I’s prefer to start by dismantling the so-called “safety net” of freebies.

Ask the mothers and wives of the soldiers who died in those crashes. I think the military should guard the borders as well but I don’t believe in throwing away the lives of the bravest of us.

There are buildings full of people who are sucking up government money. Get rid of some of them and use that money for the wall. The economy is good and they can find other jobs.

If we don't build that Wall now, there might not be a GOP left!!!!!

We needed to build that wall in 1986 when President Reagan signed his amnesty bill.

It's too late now. The horses have left the barn.

Why not issue Bonds like the old savings bonds to pay for the wall?

Make them 4% 20 year bonds and sell them through Post Offices like the old ones.

It’s the liberal elite who have promoted open borders.

You're right.

White liberal elites want 'power for themselves' and a 'servant class that's brown' to keep them in power.

They want traditional Americans to die - because we're the people who can stop them... We can stop them from turning our country into a 3rd world hellhole - we ARE their enemy.

In 1492 the native Indians found that out.

In addition to building wall, Pres. Trump needs to do the following things before 2020 elections to insure constitutional integrity at the ballot box imo.

From related threads …

First, Trump needs to put a stop to unconstitutional (imo), winner-take-all state electoral vote laws by enforcing the 12th Amendment.

From the 12th Amendment:

"The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice- President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate [emphasis added]; …"

Trump also needs to enforce Section 2 of the 14th Amendment so that only citizens can vote. He needs to do this by requiring people to present citizenship / photo ID cards before being allowed to vote. Such cards need to be scannable to facilitate “vision impaired” Democratic ballot box officials.

From the 14th Amendment:

Corrections, insights welcome.

Patriots should also listen to Dan Borgino’s 37 minute video concerning alleged Mueller conspiracy against Pres. Trump.

(Even if we don't pay retired military and their contractors fees for big fat profitable 'speeches'...)

We put billions into protecting the border between North and South Korea... More billions protecting the ingrates in Germany and EU from Russian invasion...

Then there's Blood AND treasure protecting thugs in the middle east...

Doesn't seem like we're asking too much wanting our military to protect US for once... you know, spend a few bucks defending OUR Southern border from invasion...

Uh - geopolitics isn't your strong suit, right? We haven't been protected by oceans since the first battleships were designed.

The real lessons that all of you should have adsorbed by now are that:

1. Even our best friends can't be trusted with defending our country - in fact, they'd all like to come here and take our stuff.

2. Being conquered by other countries would suck.

3. Fighting our adversaries should always take place THERE instead of HERE - before they become too strong to beat.

I'm going to throw out a strong guess that at least Leaning Right and Central VA have never graced this country with combat service - am I right? Otherwise, you'd know better than push the paleo-isolationist crap.

Uh...Uh the entire hemisphere was subjugated started in the 1400's by countries with navies and the will to invade the "new world".

I would not call the campaign promise of the wall a lie but it is extremely disappointing that the wall properly established will never be built. Along with that, extensive immigration and election reform is a fantasy. Nothing can get done in two years with this pathetic polarized government. The Uni-party knows this. Most great civilizations are destroyed from within first and eventually cannot defend themselves to outside forces. We are at the declining end of “peak USA” unless there is a reformation aka civil war. The country is regressing back to territories and colonization.

Free Republic is a great place to converse, and maybe to even learn a new thing or two. But Chainmail, when you start a post with an insult, I tend to disregard everything else.

However, I’m just a dumb ol’ Hunky from a decaying mill town. So I don’t know much. So forgive me, Chainmail, if I let your insults cloud my judgement.

Something nobody mentions is that the newly elected radical socialist president of Mexico is all in favor of flooding the US with Mexico’s problems. Without that wall in place, the US is facing a major disaster.

At this point, President Trump needs to pull out all the stops, fight the battle in the SCOTUS, transfer money as needed to get that wall built ASAP.

Congress has failed to appropriate the funds again. And though the Democrats in the House will stomp their feet, it is the Republicans in the senate who matter. For them to vote against the President, to forbid him from spending that money, will mean their masks come off, we see who the real traitors are, so we can finally take them down.

Seriously, President Trump should be able to scrape together $5 billion from what amounts to petty cash.

And do it before the human wave attacks get worse.

This point about America defending it's own borders as this country has done and still does for foreign borders should be emphasized at every opportunity possible by Pres Trump and other supporters of the wall. Pres Trump does try to get this fact out but it has not penetrated the media brains who ignore anything anti invasion by illegals. The media will have to be forced however that can be done to remind the public of the wars the US has fought, and the military that has died, protecting other countries from invasion.

Exactly. So rather than allow that cycle to overcome us, we should stay ahead of the threats, right?

Just lucky for us (assuming your forebears came from Europe) that the Chippewas or the Iroquois were short on numbers and ocean-going amphibious transport.
