If I hit my goal of 100 total pounds lost by my December 21 weigh-in, I will qualify for going on the Steve Kane Radio Show Caribbean Cruise next year according to the rules set out by my wife. She said I was too fat to go on that cruise this year so I took that as a challenge.

High Intensity Interval Training has proven very effective for me after an injury and time spent doing nothing while healing (except eating).
- I warm up with simple high knee prancing for about 2 minutes, at a pace at which I can speak in full sentences.
Then I pick up the pace for 20 seconds, working hard enough that I'm too winded to speak. Slow it down to and just walk for 1 to 2 minutes. Add another 20-second effort, slow for 2 minutes and then add a last 20-second effort. Cool down for 2 minutes at easy pace.
I'm in my 70s. It takes me about 10 -15 minutes. Twice a week since September has dropped 18 lbs and three belly inches.

Bravo, PJ!
(And I hope it’s a short cruise—they are killers for diets!)

For a moment I thought those were seersucker pants.
