There are at least 9 venomous species of snake in Egypt-—cobras and various vipers. Seems she would have had her choice.
She was the “Living Isis” the religion had many followers in Rome who might have rioted if she was marched in chains—best move was to do her in. Yes, she was of Greek Heritage—but, she spoke Copt (the language of Egypt) Worship Egyptian Gods, Dressed like an Egyptian, Gave jobs in her government to Egyptians. She was loved by the Egyptian People—So in all ways she was Egyptian and dreamed of blending Egyptian/Roman culture into a world empire—she almost did it too.
