President Trump needs to include the victims and families of victims of illegal aliens in these talks and roll the video.

He’s going to get the bad press regardless of what happens because that’s what our fake news media does

The media has been so over the top, that they have somewhat disarmed themselves -- Trump just isn't afraid of bad press. He knows he'll get bad press no matter what he does. They cannot pressure him. Or his supporters.

He also needs to bring cameras in and make these meetings public, so the D's CAN'T go out to the press with a different story.
It would also display....live on camera, who exactly is holding up pay for 800,000 workers.

“The worst thing he could have done would have been to make more concessions to the Democrats like those that were made during the working session... that took place over the weekend, without getting anything from the Dems in return....”

I disagree with this part - the weekend meeting wasn’t Trump stupidly making concessions - that was Trump forcing Pelosi and Schumer into going on record staking out unreasonable positions - like “not one dime”, and “manufactured crisis”.

The President knows that the American people see the southern border as a serious and costly problem - certainly worth spending $5 Billion on, which is the tinyest fraction of the federal budget. The fake news mistook these unreasonable positions taken by Pelosi and Schumer for courageous smack downs - embarrassing to the POTUS - so they gave them wide coverage. The trouble is, the voting public didn’t see it that way - what they saw was Democrats (who never met a tax $ they didn’t want to spend) saying a dime was too much to spend on border security! - and saying that they don’t see any problems at all on the southern border!

So Trump accomplished a great deal in the weekend meeting - it wasn’t just stupidly making concessions. He tricked those two dummies into uttering some amazingly stupid statements - and thereby set the table for what happened in the recent meeting, where he apparently said “bye bye” and walked out.

Well played Mr President.

I’ve been in several negotiating sessions with Democrat congressional staff myself over the years, and here’s how that game works.

Sounds like buying a used car.

Negotiating 101

Not being picky, and DJT is surely a better negotiator than I, but I would have ended the meeting by saying, “Bye-Bye, you may go.”. Rather than leaving the room, escort them out as you go back to work. Just a territorial kind of thing.

“President Trump needs to include the victims and families of victims of illegal aliens in these talks and roll the video.”

Have a press conference and start the conference with the video of Chuck, Nancy and the rats supporting the wall. Do it for effect. Then a quick numbers presentation for how much we spend on illegals in health care, criminal justice and financial support.

After the press conference is over, the next day have another press conference and roll the tape of the medias Q&A and show where their reporting is fake.

I’ve seen some appalling pics that border residents have taken and that show what is happening to our S. border.

Why aren’t those more widespread?

$5 BILLION is also a fraction of what is spent on invaders once thy are here. Over 60% of prisoners in prisons & jails alone cost us more than $5 billion.

“So he did what any smart negotiator would do when it is obvious the other side has no intention of negotiating in good faith and broke up the useless meeting so he could focus his time and energy on actual productive efforts. It’s just another example of him bringing his tactics from the business world into his role as President.”

Anyone who has read “The Art of the Deal” knows that one of Trump’s key negotiating tactics is to ALWAYS be willing to walk away from any deal. That’s pretty basic, but an awful lot of people (and the entire Republican Party, B.T.) don’t understand that. He truly is like no one else that the entire DC establishment has seen...and they don’t like it or him one bit - and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that fact.
