This could be effective if a bad guy is staring down the barrels of that pistol. Either he’ll be intimidated by all the barrels (and convinced that it might somehow work) or confused as hell by all the barrels (”what the hell is that?”). Either way, he is probably at least momentarily paralyzed into inaction.

I had a backstop made of steel, and at 30 feet shot a .25 ACP cal it it. The bullet fragmented and a piece bounced back hitting me in the neck. Thankfully no serious damage but a bruise and a blister, but I realized then the .25 has far more power than people think it does.
