Communism Making Comeback as Globalism
Canada Free Press ^ | 02/01/19 | Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

Posted on 02/01/2019 10:34:02 AM PST by Sean_Anthony

It is with sadness, agony, and dread that I see daily evidence of Western democracies turning to Communism

“We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful.” – C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

“It’s a brave new world,” one in which radicals are elected to high office in a system more corrupt and ignorant than ever imagined possible. The voters believe in the “shiny illusions of socialist/communist hell and are racing to implementation.”

Communism won’t seem so bad after the muslims impose sharia.

AOC is having an incredible impact on the Dems considering she seldom knows what she is talking about and is as raw a rookie as Congress gets. Her New Green Deal erupted like a boil on the face of Dem policy and her unabashed socialism provides cover for Bernie and other socialists to pull the party farther to the left than it’s been maybe ever.

Crunch time is coming for Independents. They will swing the next election depending on how Marxism appeals to them.

Well, why would you need to conquer nations like falling dominoes and install communism, when you could just eliminate borders and sovereignty and install it everywhere through a process of slow erosion of and transition?

Trump Just needs to build that wall, keep appointing originalist judges and not get us into any stupid wars. He can shit-post all he wants, that works fine.

Most folks have not yet realized that globalism and environmentalism is just stealth communism.

Socialism is cynicism towards society - and, concomitantly, naiveté towards government.

"Socialism is cynicism towards society - and, concomitantly, naiveté towards government."

Oooh, oooh, that's really good. Mind if I steal borrow that?

Yes. Leftists trust the public sector, distrust the private sector. Rightists tend toward the opposite. True libertarians (classic liberals) distrust both equally.

They distrusted centralized government, but they also distrusted pure democracy.

Thank you.
SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins.
Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness;

the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices.

The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions.

The first is a patron, the last a punisher.

Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one . . .
For were the impulses of conscience clear, uniform and irresistibly obeyed, man would need no other lawgiver; but that not being the case, he finds it necessary to surrender up a part of his property to furnish means for the protection of the rest; and this he is induced to do by the same prudence which in every other case advises him, out of two evils to choose the least. — Thomas Paine, Common Sense (1776)

I like to put it that “true liberals” such as you and I are skeptical - both about society (else we would not want any government at all) and government.

Faux “liberals,” OTOH, are not skeptical at all about government.

It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity, and they very seldom teach it enough. — Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)
