Used to have the 8 shot Taurus before the boating accident. Was among the 60 or so I hadn’t shot yet.

Most people selling their revolver in 454 Casull include half a box of unfired ammo.

Taurus makes some good guns. I have a .44 Special revolver that I’ve used for concealed carry and shot a decent amount over the last twenty years. Other than possible weight issues, I can’t think what could be wrong with a revolver that has 8 Rounds of .357 Magnum goodness! Congrats!

😩 that look on your face when you realize you could have gotten a Glock 19 and 3 mags for the same price.

454 is a lot of gun for home defense! I would load it with +P .38 spl JHP or 125 grain JHP magnum rounds its a very lethal man stopper.

For what it is worth I have a Redhawk .357 and a Astra snub nose .44 Rem Mag. The .454 has way too much recoil in anything other than a very heavy revolver or someone with very strong wrists. You choose wisely.

Ive shot the Redhawks in 7.5 and the snubby Alaskan version in .454. Theyre not bad, but youre not putting 50 rounds downrange in one session.

I’d buy a rusted, used American gun before I bought a new or used Taurus. I saw a Taurus Millennium literally come apart in my friend’s hands while firing, after only a few boxes of ammo. I hope the revolvers are better.

Finally got to takè my new Glock 32, 357 Sig, outside today and burn a few rounds.
To: backwoods-engineer
I’m sorry your friend had that problem. I’ve had 3 tauruses (taurii?), 2 of which I still own and carry regularly. None of them have ever given me a moments trouble.
