The Thursday Energy Update (Because Energy Fuels our Lives)
Just when you thought the ongoing Climate Scam couldn’t possibly get any more absurd in its fantasy-based thought, in steps Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC). After AOC rolled out her “plan” – in the form of a long, amateurishly-written non-binding resolution – ” Dan Kish, distinguished senior fellow at the Institute for Energy Research, described it best:
“A six-page, non-binding resolution marketed as a ‘War Plan’ proves Congressman Cortez isn’t prepared and hasn’t done her homework,” he said, “Running the world’s greatest economy on unicorn farts and rainbow stew all run by masterminds in Washington, D.C., is a fool’s errand.”
To illustrate just how absurd, fantasy-based, brutish and non-specific the “plan” truly is, all one need to do is read this short outtake from it:
“Totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere [everywhere!], build out high speed rail at a scale at which air travel stops becoming necessary, create affordable public transportation available to all, with (sic) goal to replace very combustion-engine vehicle”
So, here’s the reality of how that would happen. The federal government would bankrupt the country by foregoing trillions of tax dollars subsidizing electric vehicles, while at the same time bankrupting millions of Americans by raising taxes on gasoline and diesel to levels that make it too expense to drive internal combustion engine cars and long-haul trucks. This will in turn create massive jobs losses and food shortages throughout the nation as it becomes to expensive to transport things like groceries and other consumer goods via large trucks or traditional rail.
Next, the government will have to condemn and seize millions upon millions of acres of privately-owned lands to accommodate all the thousands of miles of rights-of-way for all the new rail lines the socialist nitwits plan to build. This will bankrupt thousand family farmers and millions of other Americans whose livings depends upon the use of their private property, but hey, at least they’ll have charging stations available to charge their non-existent electric vehicles that are now even more unaffordable.
All the new rail construction will have to be completed using diesel-fired vehicles since the EV technology to run such massive equipment is non-existent, and oh by the way, we’ll have to build a whole bunch of new nuclear, natural gas and coal-fired power plants to provide electricity to all to of those charging stations that – as AOC’s tiny little mind assures us – will now exist “everywhere”.
Oh, and once it becomes too expensive to travel by air – which will of necessity happen long before a single mile of new rail line is built – then places like California, Florida, New York City and Las Vegas and forget about their tourism industries, right? Right. Even after the “high-speed rails” are built, who is going to want to travel from, say, Alabama to Las Vegas on a train that, while it may achieve a high-end speed of 250 mph or more, will no doubt be required by the socialist/fascist government envisioned by AOC to stop 40 times on the way in order to be “available to all”?
This atrocity is not worth any more words than I’ve already spent here. The outline is six pages long, can be found at this link, and is chock full of exactly the kind of mushy-headed socialist/fascist thought that has been the overriding, driving goal the Climate Scam since its beginnings 50 years ago.
Read it at your own risk. Or don’t. Just know that the mask has finally come off of the true face of the “Climate” movement, and it looks exactly the same as every other socialist/fascist face that has come in the past.

I think occasional must have some interesting press agents that are keeping her in the news on a daily basis no matter what it takes.
I am of the firm conviction that Trump wanted to be rid of Ryan and wanted Palosi and the Dems as foils.
He knew the TDS was rampant and that the Dems would not be able to hold back.
The bonus the President received is in the person of AOC. She is butting heads with Palosi already. At the SOTU I saw other Dems looking at AOC and not Palosi to see if it was OK to clap or not.
AOC wants Socialism Now. Tomorrow afternoon is too far in the future.
Palosi wants the same but knows that to achieve it you have to slowly deceive the public.
I dont think Palosi can control AOC, if fact I think she is afraid of her.

This is where Trump needs to push back.
Stop playing with the GOP-e and go right to the Board Room of major corporations.

AOC's ignorance of humanity's centuries-long struggle against tyranny and on behalf of freedom is astounding--given that she has that "prestigious" college degree!
I imagine the first high speed rail line will be named for AOC, and it will go from Central America to Canada with hundreds of stopes in between, except the border and customs enforcement of course...
