Thirty braindead Democraps sponsored Sen Markey's bill and assembled to support AOC's laughable rollout of the Green Dream.

Now Mitch McConnell is holding their feet to the fire....calling for a vote.

Prime sponsor, Sen Markey (at right in pic---and other Democrats?), are running for cover......
to avoid casting a vote on AOC’s creepy Green Deal....to turn America into another starving, Third-World socialist/fascist failed state.

Democrats manage to win by lying about their real beliefs and intentions. The gross Green Deal removes their masks, and it is an
incredibly ugly face that greets Americans.....the beginning of the end of the Democrats' savage quest to regain the levers of power.

"How would the vote harm the GOP senators?"

There is such a thing as "gop" senators?

That's news to me.

the beginning of the end of the Democrat Party’s quest to regain the levers of power in Washington

***************

Its ironic that the wacky Left with its destructive proposals like the Greeen New Deal makes the GOP look good — by comparison. Without that foil people might actually expect the useless GOP to do something producutive.

You are right on the money. Clergy has failed their flock.
For substantial proof: Nanny P freely endorsing abortion, and yet her church continues to allow her to practice her ‘faith’. Or the fact that Cuomo and Cardinal Dolan remain friends with no mention of retribution.
As to the ‘gimme crowd’. Had one of these in my family, my youngest sibling. She went on to marry another one and together they produced and reproduced even more hungry mouths yearning for the ‘free cheese’. They find nothing abnormal or immoral in this. Total embarrassment from this direction.

Seems like both parties don’t like to actually vote for what they say they want too often.

****************

They all wants the jobs. They just don’t want the repsonsibilities that go along with it. They hate being forced to make decisions and the thought of being held accountable.

Ironic that massive government spending is what is actually destroying America.
And the solution..of course..is even more massive government spending..?
Throw in open borders and multibillion dollar drug trafficking and how does even a great country survive?

Got to give McConnell some credit on this one. Very clever move.

“This would basically result, if we did it on a global level, it would result in the decimation of the human population from 7-odd billion down to who knows how few people.” Oh. Well, gosh, maybe it isn’t such a great idea, then."

This is where many conservatives are unwilling to admit the obvious. This is a great idea for those who wish a drastic reduction in the human population for that exact reason. Many on the right are simply afraid to acknowledge that the left desires just that.

Markey who co sponsored the bill in the senate is probably embarrassed now that he will be put up to ridicule if the Senate votes on it. Either he liked the name and did not read it before he sponsored it or he actually read it and believed it. Either way he loses.

On the surface this sounds like a clever move but unfortunately we know for sure based on recent experience that this will be worthless and at best gains no benefit.

I believe that there was a vote on something to do with healthcare (perhaps medicare- don’t recall) that McConnell wanted to put the Ds on record for. They called it a show vote and voted present eliminating any talking point. The MSM dutifully reports it as such. Thus the impact that McConnell wanted was not realized at all. A vote on the Green New Deal will have a worse effect. The votes and logic will be the same and the MSM plus some on our side will ridicule McConnell’s vote.

The Green New Deal is not ready for making law and it is an obvious show vote. (Even those on our side who want to embarrass the Ds with this realize it is a show vote.) This proposal is a godsend to us. (Caveat if it is effective to gain public support for the Ds we are doomed as a country.) We do not need to play obvious politics and weaken our hand. When the Ds are self destructing leave them alone. The way to get people on the record is to ask them during the campaign about the Green New Deal. Also we need to bring this up in every race. Especially for the D reps in conservative districts where even if they do not support the Green New Deal we can run against the radical D leadership.

Not the main topic of this thread, but WRT this quote from the subject article:

“Like American Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller,...”

Perhaps David Blackmon could explore whether there is any relation between ours and theirs:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_M%C3%BCller_(Gestapo)

Bobby M needs to constantly be referred to by our side as “Gestapo Mueller.” Go full Alinsky on the corrupt SOB, and don’t let up until he blows a fuse.

Not to deride your home state or you personally, but what, may I ask, supposedly makes MA a "smart" state.

I always thought the state to be riddled with liberal democRATS and therefore immune from the any claim of being smart.

Seriously, what do you mean exactly?

Well, note that I used the term “supposedly” and I also put “smart” in quotes as well. So I hope my skepticism came through loud and clear.

But the basis for the my sentence is that MA believes that it is much smarter than other states. We have a lot of colleges. Boston is full of colleges. And across the river, in Cambridge, we have Harvard. Also MIT. Mass is generally seen as a highly educated state.

But this begs the question — does this make the state smart? How many of these college graduates have useless social science degrees? How many spent 4+ years going into debt and have little to show for it except Marxist indoctrination?

Ask any Mass Liberal, and they will tell you quickly that Mass is a really, really smart state.

But what I say is that MA is supposedly a “smart” state. Andy my question to people in MA is: How come we keep electing such terrible politicians?

If MA is so smart, ".... How come we keep electing such terrible politicians?..."

If the state is very liberal, they might not think that the democRATic politicians they elect are as terrible as folks like you and me on the right think.

I mean the Kennedys are revered as near gods in MA. But there seems to be no logical excuse for Kerry, Markey, Warren, and what was that gay guy's name? Ah, Barney Franks either.

Logic and rationale are inexplicable when trying to explain why democRATS do what they do.

To a democRAT, there can be nothing bad about the politicians they elect. And so the vicious, incomprehensible cycle of electing terrible politicians continues.

Markey is just a straight-up idiot. He’s not smart enough to be evil, but he’s dumb enough to do damage.

Just...DAMN.
