Socialism demands a return to childhood dependence and the infantile world of subjective reality epitomized in the Green New Deal.
Socialism is a tough sell to Americans who evaluate ideas based on facts and a remarkably easy sell to Americans who evaluate ideas based on feelings. The adult world of facts is a foreign land to the infantilized world of feelings where low-info millennial voters currently dwell. The heated political battle between Americanism and Socialism parallels the battle between parents and their children who refuse to grow up emotionally and leave the nest.
Becoming an emotional adult requires embracing a fact based cause-and-effect view of the world that rejects the fantasies of childhood. No Johnny, you cannot fly like a bird even though you really really really want to. What happens if Johnny insists that he can fly and takes a confident leap from a tall building?
Socialism is an easy sell and very attractive to people who like the idea of getting something for nothing. Especially so if it means making successful people (whom they resent) pay for it.
It’s a failure and subversion of the US education system.
They couldn’t pay me to vote for a socialist agenda. /s
The heated political battle between Americanism and Socialism
Roughly the same thing that happens when you say "No, Johnny, you aren't really a girl," and he decides to get "reassigned" to prove he is. And for exactly the same reason.
...battle between Americanism and Socialism...
America is susceptible to socialism because we’re a kindhearted people and socialism appeals to our kindheartedness.
Are they confusing social media with socialism?
Are they confusing social media with socialism?
I think they are.
Mos socialists never volunteer for socialism, such as jouning armed forces full time or moving to a socialist kibutz writ large paradise.
The dems have decided to go hell-bent in their dramatic shift to the hardcore extreme left. They have convinced themselves that EVERYONE hates Trump as much as they do, and will vote for anyone no matter how extreme to get rid of Trump. The problem for them is that the majority of people don’t hate Trump with a white-hot passion that the dems do and will either vote against the extremism by voting for Trump, stay home or vote 3rd party.
My prediction is that Trump will carry about the same number of states as he did before, 30, and most likely win the popular vote as well.
After yet another defeat at the hands of Trump, the dems will resort to yet another 4 years of “resistance” while getting more and more extreme to the point where they become a total joke of a party.
Class envy and despotic overlords.
Those who push for it always always always want to live in the ivory and tell you what you cannot do.
They couldnt pay me to vote for a socialist agenda. /s
Right VS left... Gee Linda, little behind the curve ain't you.. What else is new...?
Oh, I see now, your in Canada.... That explains it...
never forget one thing (and I’m saying it this way because I often forget it myself when I get stuck looking at the trees and forget the forest) you can analyze the outward symptoms all you want but the true root problem is that most people who want socialism are afraid of failure and want protection from it.
I hate Communists and Fascists even more than they hate Trump.
You may be right in your predictions. The Left is probably too extreme for most Americans but if we should fall into a bad economic recession all bets are off. Trump needs the economy to stay good to get re-elected. Just my humble opinion.
?? Just how in the hell does murder and mayhem appeal to a thinking, rational human being.??
No liberty, no freedom, no right to eat what you want, go where you want, BE what you want... I don't want you to do ANYTHING that I don't want to do, or can't do myself... We'll all stay right here, at the bottom of the hole...
That's not kindheartedness.. That's self-loathing and hate for your fellow man...
