Traditionally, 1000 rpm would be considered too high a cyclic rate but times have changed.
In todays world of compact SBR rifles, the job function of a 9mm SMG is close quarters and often suppressed against opponents who have a high likelihood of wearing body armor.
A higher cyclic rate makes a lot of sense in this application
