I, too am a long-time Ravelry member and will not be purchasing any more patterns through their website. Ironically, the last pattern I purchased was from a designer named "Deplorable Knitter," who apparently is now banned from Ravelry. She had lots of cute patriotic and Trump hats. I purchased her latest design just to support her efforts. Most of her designs have been free.

Also remember that local yarn shops will often get their patterns from Ravelry and sell them to you. I will now be sure to ask my LYS if the pattern I am purchasing from them will come from Ravelry. If so, no sale.

I think there are lots of conservative, patriotic members of Ravelry, but they may be too afraid of getting banned to argue with management. At least that's my opinion from years of interaction with other Ravelry members.
