Yes i had read about that Louis guy. Article probably meant to say attempted suicide several yrs ago. MCG is a jail, not a prision. He was innocent of charges til proven guilty.only 40 yrs old MCG was in bad condition and lacked oversight. should not have been kept there.

We will know if Epstein is really alive very soon.
As the legal eagles have pointed out, Epstein’s standing in court demanding that information be withheld due to various “privileges” disappears upon death.
However, it takes a Judge to remove that privilege and release the information.
The DOJ would have to attest to the Judge that Epstein was really, really dead to make this motion in Court.
If the DOJ does this, he is dead. If they do not ask for privilege to be waived, he is alive.
I guess that article might have put up some confusing text e.g. about the Sindona case.
Michele Sindona tried to kill himself with a razor blade while he was at MCC, but failed.
He was transferred to an Italian prison, and was eventually poisoned with cyanide (in 1986). Possibly - indeed likely - it was suicide. Maybe some infelicitous phrasing in the article conflated his suicide to MCC.

Epstein IMHO, should not have even been housed there but we’re way past this now. There were cameras and now we hear rumors of malfunction, not working etc.
This is ridiculous but we must await real answers.

The eyes of the entire world were focused on this guy and yet the powers to be were unable to stop it. Everybody knew his life was in danger and yet somehow, "with our eyes wide open", he ends up dead.
It happened "In plain sight" with everybody, and apparently "nobody", watching him. How could this happen?
It happened because the rich and powerful wield their power and influence to do whatever they want with no consequences.
Oh, some small fish may fry and some others will be thrown under the bus. These guards will probably be canned. The warden has already relieved of duty.
But the ones who are behind the murder of Epstein will never be known or be held accountable.
